Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan on false reports of eye gouging

Some media outlets have published reports, quoting a person who very well may have been admitted to Mirwais Hospital in Kandahar province. This individual stated that three armed men gouged his eyes out with a knife in the Sarwan Kala area of Helmand province’s Sangin district.

The aforementioned individual did not on any occasion identify Taliban fighters as his attackers. Furthermore, in response to questions from several journalists, he (the victim) only elaborated that the area in which the attack occurred is under the control of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

The Taliban administration of the area never punishes anyone (Afghans or invader soldiers for that matter) in secret, and it is also a distinct possibility that the incident may have been the product of personal vendettas gone awry.

Let if be known that regardless of the wealth or power of the offenders who committed this heinous act -- each will be punished and their punishments will be carried out in a public setting. Most importantly, the offenders will be punished in strict accordance with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s long-standing policy of Shariah law.

According to the latest reports, Taliban in the area say that even after comprehensive and widespread inquiries they have not received any information about such an incident. If the aforementioned incident is a truth and not a falsehood -- then we ask this individual to elaborate on his story and make additional details known to us. In which area, village, community, and house in Sarwan Kala did this incident take place?

Recently the enemy, out of desperation, has engaged in numerous conspiracies against the Mujahideen and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. Despite false reports and daily misinformation, the Mujahideen through dedication and unyielding struggle have defended the Islamic faith and worked tirelessly to free the great nation of Afghanistan from the blood-soaked dominion of invader enemies and puppet collaborators.

By publishing such reports, the enemy wants to promote colonialism and hide the shameful practice of bombing civilians en masse. The will of the noble people of Afghanistan will never be broken. We seek refuge with the Allah, the Lord of all Worlds.
