Paths of Victory

21-06-2008

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, the Lord of Honor and Power, the Lord of all that exists!

He is the Guardian of helping the Islam, there is no deity but HE. He defends rightness, albeit after a while. And may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his companions in entirety.

Allah said: ["They intend to put out the Light of Allâh (i.e. the religion of Islâm, this Qur'ân, and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)) with their mouths. But Allâh will bring His Light to perfection even though the disbelievers hate (it). It is He Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though those who associate partners with ALLAH hate (it). ] (8-9:61). So be sure (Muslims) that victory is surely coming and Allah is doubtlessly glorifying His religion and bringing it to the best end whatever many nations troops are against us. Be sure that Muslims will surely rule over the world -by the help of Allah, the All-Strong-. Anyone contesting or having doubts about this, surely he is one of the infidels.

Allah -the True King and the Manifest Truth- says: "And indeed We have written in all the revealed Holy Books after (We have already written in) Al-Lauh Al-Mahfűz (the Book that is in the heaven with Allâh), that My righteous slaves shall inherit the land. Verily, in this (the Qur'ân) there is a plain Message for people who worship Allâh". (105-106: 21). And the honest and trustworthy Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: " the Islam religion will definitely spread all over the world, and no one will be left without embracing Islam, willy – nilly". Glory and honor will be for the Islam and those who will embrace it willingly, and disgrace will be for those who won't.

Thus, Tameem Al-Daree (may Allah be pleased with him) kept saying – as it narrated in al-Musnad: "I could see that in my family; those who had turned to Muslims got honor and glory and became dignified. On the contrary, those who hadn't were disgraced and enforced to pay the Jizyah."

So, O believers of the Islamic Monotheism! Be sure that a belief for which pure blood were shed, and for its purpose martyrs fought, lived and died will surely triumph. So, this belief will target every single infidel, and give light to every single monotheist's heart. Nevertheless, we should all know that the cause behind victory is to act according to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) deeds, to do the things he did and not to do those he didn't, and not to give priority to anything else over his deeds -as Muslim scholars said-.

Ibn Al-Qayyem (mercy of Allah be upon him) said: "Also, the perfect victory and winning are only for those who have perfect Iman (the Islamic Monotheism) in Allah. Allah says: [Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah) in this world's life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth, (i.e. Day of Resurrection)] (51:40), He also says: ["..... So We gave power to those who believed against their enemies, and they became the victorious."] (14:61).

So our Prophet (peace be upon him) showed us clearly the reasons behind victory as well as obstacles to achieving it. Ibn Taymiyah said: "He (i.e. our Prophet peace be upon him) showed them (Muslims) many stratagems and ways for winning and achieving victory that if they understand and implement them correctly, no enemy will be able to face them."

So, some of the reasons of victory are:

Firstly: Tawheed (Monotheism)

Allah says: [" And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion (Islamic Monotheism) if they can"] (217:2). He also says: [" They had no fault except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise!"] (8:85).

This is a fact the Mujahideen should take into consideration; the struggle between monotheists (Muslims) and infidels (non-Muslims) is essentially belief-based, and Allah confines this struggle to the religion's respect. Thus, an infidel of any kind (Secular, Communist, Christian, Jewish, etc) does not hate Muslims but only because of their pure Islamic Monotheism. So claiming to have a struggle between us and them for anything (except religion) is totally untrue. Hence, the infidels' and apostates' hatred is not motivated by political or economical reasons, rather by religious ones ; it is a struggle between" Iman" and "Kuffer". A clear example of this is that we don't fight the crusaders or Arabic apostates for the sake of the land, but for the sake of getting the religion of Allah the uppermost on earth. Likewise, they don't fight us because of disputing over some financial gains. If that was the case, it would be easy to reach a compromise. But our religion will not ever meet with theirs.

In the past, the colonialism and Crusades were two sides of the same coin, just like they are nowadays. Their Caesar, Bush has stated it clearly: "this is crusade", so why do they keep denying it?! So, O Mujahideen! Don't get confused or deceived by their new names and flags.

You (Mujahideen) also have to purify your hearts and ranks of dirtiness; don't ever have polytheists or polytheism in them. You also have to know that having polytheism in our ranks or hearts is the biggest obstacle in the way of achieving victory, and the fastest way to cause a defeat. Allah says: [" And the Zâliműn (polytheists and wrong-doers) will have neither a Walî (protector or guardian) nor a helper."] (8:42). He also says: ["And never will the Zâliműn (polytheists and wrong-doers) find any helpers."] (192:3), which is well explained in Allah's saying: ["O my son (Luqmân's son)! Join not in worship others with Allâh. Verily joining others in worship with Allâh is a great Zűlm (wrong) indeed."] (13:21). Thus, doing that for the sake of Allah is the most important factor of achieving victory and establishment in the land; Allah says: [ "He knew what was in their hearts, and He sent down As-Sakînah (calmness and tranquility) upon them, and He rewarded them with a near victory."] (18:48), meaning Allah knew the sincerity, faithfulness and pure intention in their hearts so He rewarded them.

This verse indicates clearly that having no shirk(polytheism) is an integral requirement of the empower in the land. And when it is fulfilled, the reward by Allah is to have victory, success and enablement in the land. Allah says: ["So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord."] (110:18). And our Prophet (peace be upon him) said: " The thing that I fear most for you is minor shirk.”, so he (peace be upon him) was the leader who tried his best to purify his companions' hearts of this sin, especially during the Jihad. He did focus on the Jihad's leaders, as he said " we don't entrust leadership to anyone seeks or is desirous of it."

It was narrated from Abu-Saeed, Abd-Al-Rahman ibn Samorah that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "don't seek the position of a ruler, as if it's given to you without being asked by you, you will be assisted with it (by Allah), but if it's given to you in response to your asking, you will be never assisted with it (by Allah). Al-Nawawi said: "the scholars said : " the reason behind not nominating anyone to a position he asks is clearly revealed in the previous Hadeeth, as if he isn't helped by Allah he is no more qualified, and the not qualified are never nominated." "

Also, you may find someone who is long-acquainted with working and doing Jihad in the cause of Allah and a well-doer, but still he is not fit to rule people, though he might think he is. Thus ,Abu-Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I said to our Prophet (peace be upon him): "why don't you nominate me?", he tapped me on the shoulder and said: "O Abu- Dharr! You are weak, and it is a great responsibility, and on the Judgment Day it is disgrace and regret." Though, it is sometimes obligatory for good-doers who see others being killed and properties being stolen, and have the ability to stop this, to ask for such a position. The Prophet Joseph (peace of Allah be upon him) said - as mentioned in the Quran- : [ "Set me over the storehouses of the land; I will indeed guard them with full knowledge" (as a minister of finance in Egypt).] (55: 12).

Secondly: Unity

Allah said: [" And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allâh (i.e. this Qur'ân), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allâh's Favor on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islâmic Faith). ] ( 103: 3). Also, Abdullah Ibn Masoud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O people! Persevere in obedience and the staying among the Muslim group, as it is Allah's order. And besides, what you dislike in obedience and the staying among the Muslim group is much better than what you like in discord."

It is clearly proved since it is narrated in al -Musnad that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "if any Muslim continues to do these three deeds, his heart will be out of hatred and envy: sincerity in worshipping Allah, giving advice to the rulers and staying within the Muslim group, as if they (the Muslim group) ask Allah, they ask Him on the group's account which that Muslim is a part of it." Ibn Al-Qayyem said: "whoever makes all his doings in the cause of Allah, gives advice to all Allah's worshippers and stays with the Muslim group friendly and not opposing them, his heart will be pure and good and Allah will be his guardian. On the contrary, others will have their hearts full of evil and malice."

Thus, Muslims are supposed to be united and to hold fast, all of them together, to the Rope of Allah, not to be scattered and in dispute with each others. Such unity will bring victory and glory in this life, and brightness to the face and highness in the rank in the hereafter. It is indicated in Ibn Abbas's (may Allah be pleased with him) explanation of the Quranic verse: [" On the Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) when some faces will become white and some faces will become black……" ] (106:3), he said: " the faces of the followers of the Prophet and righteous Muslim group will become white, and the faces of heresy and discord supporters will become black". So, discord never brings about victory or glory, even if it is handled by the most courageous and the best man on earth. For example, the Emir of the believers, Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) was definitely the best man on earth when he became a Caliph of the faithful. In spite of that, when the Muslim nation differed among themselves on his Caliphate and some oppressive Muslims -and later Al-Khawarij- fought against him, he could not prepare a single army to fight the infidels.

Ibn Taymiyah said –while talking about the 12 Imams of Al-Rafida (Shiites ): " those (the Rafida) had never fought the infidels, though Ali bin Abi Talib did. But he couldn't do that again when he became a Caliph, neither he could conquer a city or kill an infidel, because Muslims were fighting each others. So, the infidels of the East and the Levant could dare to threaten the Muslims, and it's claimed that infidels could take over some of their lands."

Al-Jamal battle is a clear evidence of the consequences of discord and being disunited. In contrast to that, in the year of Al-Jama'ah, when the Muslim nation agreed on Moawiyah's (may Allah be pleased with him) Caliphate, he mobilized the troops, conquered many lands, brought the Zakah (Almsgiving) and gave money to those in need.

Though it is agreed upon that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him ) was more devout, courageous and just ruler than Moawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), but still discord brings nothing but evil. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said-as it is narrated in the Sahih Muslim's book: "whoever disobeys and abandons the Muslim group then dies, his death will be the like of an infidel's death. Also, whoever fights with troops fighting for non Islamic purposes (e.g. tribalism) then dies, his death will be the like of an infidel's death.", he also said: "whoever irritated by his leader should be patient with that, as anyone leaves the Muslim group behind and then dies, his death will be the like of an infidel's death."

So, as long as we are united (with the help of Allah) behind our Emir, whom we trust and defend against false accusations and suspicions, America will be surely defeated -Allah willing-, regardless the high number of soldiers and armies it uses to defeat us. So, Oh soldiers of Allah! Stay together against him who wants you to be scattered !

Thirdly: Obedience and submission to Allah's order

Allah said: [" And remember Allâh's Favor to you and His Covenant with which He bound you when you said: "We hear and we obey." ] (7:5). Obadah bin Al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him ) said: "we promised the Prophet (peace be upon him) to obey the order in all circumstances, whether they are difficult or not, and not to try to revolt against our leaders, unless they have made a clear Kuffur mentioned obviously in the Quran or Sunnah. He said in another narration: "to obey whether you feel energetic or lazy.", the Prophet (peace be upon him) also said: "hear and obey the order, even if it's given by a slave, as long as he rules you with the Quran.". And Al-Hafiz ibn Hajer said in his book "Al-Fath", explaining these Prophetic sayings,: "the order to obey is not concerning the Caliph only, rather to any leader in position". Furthermore, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "I order you (Muslims) five things that Allah has ordered me: staying within the Muslim group, listening to orders, obedience, the migration for the sake of Allah and Jihad".

What I would like to confirm here is the sincerity of obedience and total submission to the orders of Allah in hardship coercion and distress, because obedience in things which man likes is easy by the help of Allah.

And we warn from one most important thing which is disobedience in the war, we have already seen its consequences, it was always a cause of many misfortunes. In a similar case, the prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) in the army of the Companions in the battle of "Uhud" has specified a position for each group of soldiers and put the archers in a specified place to protect their backs from any turn of the enemy, and told them very clearly: (protect our backs and even if you saw that we will be killed don’t support us and if we gained booties don't share with us, -that means to stay in their sites-), but the archers didn't comprehend the advice of the prophet (peace be upon him) and disobeyed his orders, so the result was a defeat for the Muslims whom many of them were killed because of the disobedience of a group from the army in spite of the advice of their Emir and his warning.

That proves the quick consequence of the military disobedience, any independent opinion of the soldiers differing from the Emir's opinion is a big mistake even if they (soldiers) thought that their opinion was the right, and that causes many problems. The soldier is worshipping Allah by obeying his Emir unless he orders him to do a guilt. However the military movement diligence is the exclusive right to the Emir which shouldn't be disobeyed except as advice, because the rule says: "The view of the Imam or Emir shouldn't be contradicted by the opinion of any individual Muslim view".

O slave of Allah, look at the blessing of obedience in hardship and anguish, the prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) ordered the wounded Muslims to fight in Uhud battle in spite of their wounds and pain when he knew that Abu-Sufian wanted to return to attack the rest of the Islamic army, so they obeyed the orders because it is an obedience to the order of Allah and His prophet.

Allah said: [Those who answered (the Call of) Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad (peace be upon him)) after being wounded; for those of them who did good deeds and feared Allâh, there is a great reward].]

Thus was their behaviour when they returned from the Al-Ahzab incursion looking for to rest after the removal of sorrow, pleased with amenity of security, they did not yet shake off the dust of the blockade, then the order came to another quick incursion: (nobody pray the "Aser prayer" except in Bani Quraydha). So they obeyed the order of Allah and His prophet and they achieved victory over the enemy by the honest obedience and the strength of submission to the order of Allah.

Abu Hurayrah (the prominent hadeeth narrator ) -may Allah be pleased with him-, narrated the hadeeth in Sahih Muslim book: ((Him who obeyed me is the one who obeyed Allah and him who disobeyed me is the one who disobeyed Allah, and him who obeyed my Emir is the one who obeyed me and him who disobeyed my Emir is the one who disobeyed me)).

There are many things which help in obedience to the Emir such as:

1) Good thinking of the Emir. Allah said: [O you who believe! Avoid much suspicions; indeed some suspicions are sins]. So if the favorable judgment is required for all Muslims, so it is a duty towards the Emir. Nothing harmed the Jihad more than the detriment of suspicion about the Emir, why not whereas it is the most lying hadeeth, as the prophet (peace be upon him) said: ((be careful of the suspicion because it is the most lying hadeeth)), the writer of "Faydh Al- Qadeer" book said: "him who mistrusted someone who is not deserved to be mistrusted is a proof of his bad acts, as it is said: If one’s acts are bad that means that his suspicions are also bad"..

2) Respect of the Emir. In "Al-Mosnad" book of Hadeeth, Abdullah Bin Amer Bin Al-Aas said that Mouaad said: "the prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) told us about five things if someone has done them, he will be assured by Allah: 1- visiting a patient, 2- escorting the funeral procession, 3- going to incursion, 4- visiting his Imam in order to consolidate and respect him, 5- or sitting at home to be free from fault of people and themselves being free from his fault".

Consolidating and respecting the Emir is by obeying and supporting him, as well praising his noble manners and advising him secretly. Al-Hafiz in his book "Al-Fateh" mentioned: The advice of Muslim Imams is by helping them to do their duties and advising them if needed and gathering people around them.

Fourth: The patience and steadiness

Allah Almighty said: [(O you who believe! Endure and be more patient (than your enemy), and guard your territory by stationing army units permanently at the places from where the enemy can attack you, and fear Allâh, so that you may be successful)]. The patience and steadiness are required because the road is long and there must be provisions, because it is full of obstacles, and because the Jihad is a worship which Allah imposed on us, we have to do it whatever adversities or infiltrations are hard, whether Batil (falsehood) predominated or supporters diminished, we must continue.

The Imam Malek narrated that Zayed ben Aslam said: (Adu Ubaida ben al-Jarrah sent a letter to Omar Ben al-Khattab saying about groups of Romans and what expected, then Omar answered him saying: whatever be the ordeal facing the believer, surely Allah will comfort him, one hardship can never prevail two reliefs, Allah says: [O you who believe! Endure and be more patient (than your enemy), and guard your territory by stationing army units permanently at the places from where the enemy can attack you, and fear Allâh, so that you may be successful.] (3:200).

He said also: [And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sâbirűn (the patient).] (2:155). Abu Jaafar al-Tabari said explaining this verse: Allah informs the followers of the prophet (peace be upon him) that He will afflict and test them to distinguish those who follow the prophet (peace be upon him) and those who retrace their steps.

The result of patience is the best, Allah said: [But if you endure patiently, verily, it is better for As-Sâbirűn (the patient). ] (16:126). So seek help from Allah and say what your ancestors have said in this verse: [And when they advanced to meet Jalűt (Goliath) and his forces, they invoked: "Our Lord! Pour forth on us patience and make us victorious over the disbelieving people." ] (2:250), and what the afflicted monotheists have said in this other verse: [Our Lord! pour out on us patience, and cause us to die as Muslims."] (7:126), then they became obedient martyrs after being infidel sorcerers.

As the honest trustworthy (peace be upon him) has said: (If the whole Ummah gathered to be useful to you, they can't do so except if Allah destined it for you. And if they gathered to be harmful to you they can't do so except if Allah destined it for you). He (peace be upon him) said: (the victory is achieved with patience, the comfort comes with the anguish and the relief comes with the hardship).

What I want to emphasize on here and which is confirmed in many experiments, is the firmness of the leadership in the battlefields when confronting the enemies.

It is narrated in al-Sahih book that a man asked al-Baraa (may Allah be pleased with him) saying: "O Aba Emara did you abscond in the Hunain battle? Al-Baraa answered while I was listening: for the prophet (peace be upon him), he didn't abscond, and when the polytheists gathered around him over his mule with Abou Soufiane Ibn al-Hareth, he (peace be upon him) descended and started saying: (I am the prophet without doubt…I am the son of Abed al-Moutaleb), there are great utilities in this hadeeth which light the path.

1) The leadership was in the battlefield not away, so it didn't get out of the country under the pretext of being one of the symbols, the exit of the leadership leads to the stopping of Daawa. So the least of our demands from our brothers is that every Emir must stay at his area, the Emir of a province must stay at his province, Emir of a sector must stay at his sector, the same for Emir of a battalion he must remain among his soldiers. If not the Imara (leadership) is not lawful for him even if he merits it. The lions are not to be out of the jungle to hunt except if they take what others hunt.

2) His saying ((was over his mule)), that means that the Emir must be firm and show his firmness, like what did the prophet (peace be upon him) in this dangerous situation and was over a slow-moving mule.

Iben Katheer (mercy of Allah be upon him) said: "this is the utmost degree of courage, it was a day in which he (peace be upon him) faced the enemies over a slow-moving mule which couldn't be quick to help him to flee, despite of all this he faced them pronouncing his name clearly to make them knowing that he was the prophet (peace be upon him).

Iben Wattaa said to al-Muhallab: "Riding the mules in the war by the Imam (leaders) is a way of firmness for him to make his followers assured that there is no intention to flee, it is a political way to make the followers firm, because if the Emir stays firm and determined they (followers) will do the same".

There is a benefit in this saying: The Emir shouldn't ride a carriage faster than his soldiers', but he must ride a medium one or the smaller one, this makes his soldiers' hearts firm and for him to be away from suspicions especially if the carriage was from the Jihad's money.

3) Presenting himself (peace be upon him) by his saying: (I am the prophet without doubt..I am the son of Abed al-Moutaleb). When the situation became serious to the extent that the man passes near his brother without turning to him because of the hardship and the quick defeat. So it was necessary that the prophet (peace be upon him) learns to his soldiers and dear ones that he was present and didn't leave, he did it in public without caring of the security conditions and the military precautions because it is not the time of such things, the situation necessitated the sacrifice with soul and firmness in the anguish.

The strange thing is that some Emirs of Jihad when the situation becomes serious and the enemy enters in his region and the fighting becomes hard, he leaves, stays hidden, suspends all contacts with his soldiers and changes his name maybe his figure also under the pretext of preserving the leadership. Like this he loses and makes his soldiers losing, but if he stood firm and gathered his soldiers and fought together their enemy hardly, this would be safe for him and his brothers instead of harming himself and his soldiers.

4) The prophet (peace be upon him) said as narrated is the Muslim book: (O Abbas call upon the people of al-Samura, then Abbas shouted highly: where are the people of al-Samura, he (Abbas) said: by Allah it seems like if I turn them to me like the cows turned their sons, then they said: here we are! at your service, here we are! at your service). Iben Is'hak said: "this happened till the man turned his camels and when he couldn't continue, he took his cuirass and sword and went towards the voice of call".

Al-Tabari narrated that the prophet (peace be upon him) said to al-Abbas: (call "O Ansar" –supporters, O "Muhajireen" –immigrants-). So he started calling the Ansar tribe by tribe, then he (peace be upon him) said: (call "O people of surat al-Baqara"), he said that all people came in one time.

In sahih Muslim book: the call was limited to Bani al-Hareth Ben al-Khazraj, and here there is an important stance and a great divine prophetic benefit, which is the act of the prophet (peace be upon him), when there was a defeat and the rank was disunited at the extent that there was just twelve men only with him (peace be upon him), and in some narrations (eighteen men). The horsemen from Muslims as well the heroes of battles were defeated among them were the best men of battle Salam ben al-Akwaa, yet the best slaves of Allah from the allegiance of al-Redwan and others were also defeated.

At that time the leadership didn't despair nor despond or put off the swords to flee from the fighting field. This never could be happened for the prophet (peace be upon him). On the contrary, he kept up and began calling for people according to their characters. He started with those stalwarts, loyal soldiers, and those who once pledge allegiance to the prophet under the tree. Then, those who were the memorizers of the Quraan especially those of The Cow (Al Baqara) chapter. When they surrounded him (peace be upon him), he awakened the sense of the tribal enthusiasm within the believers. He called for Al Ansar (the supporters) tribe by tribe using their personal names, so that they fear the shame if they flee. The inaugurators and the memorizers of the Cow chapter were among them. The prophet (peace be upon him) started by specializing and then generalizing.

The important point here, is that despite of the big sin of fleeing during the battle and despite of the crime's bigness done by the doer who committed an unrepentable sin, he did not scold those who fled and didn't take it as a sort of shame or a way to insult them. On the contrary, he reminded them after their precedence in Jihad and monotheism, here there is an advantage; in a hard situation the leader (Emir) first resorts to the precedents of Jihad after Allah, praises the goodies in the sons of the tribes and never humiliate any one of them. Also, he must talk to those who left jihad, calling every one by reminding him of his antecedence in Jihad for the sake of Allah in order to get him back to his brothers ranks because if he left him it means that he will be left to the satan and his followers and a loss for Jihad and its soldiers in the same time. No wise man may say so.

5) With a reality of those who fled in the Hunain battle, in saheeh Muslim that Oum Suleim took a dagger on that day of Hunein and said to the prophet (peace be upon him): "O messenger of Allah, shall I kill the liberated ones? because of them we were defeated!", the prophet (peace be upon him) said to her: "O Oum Suleim, Allah has graced and Made what is enough". In Al Boukhary book: they were ten thousands, the liberated Muslims fled. Al Nawawy said: "the liberated Muslims were those who converted to Islam in Mecca in the day of victory and they are called liberated Muslims because the prophet (peace be upon him) liberated them with a weakness in their Islam, they were weak in their faith. For this reason Oum Suleim thought that they are hypocrites and deserve slaughter.

Now, it's very clear from what is mentioned before, that those who fled in the battle of Hunein were the liberated Muslims, the thing which rarefied the Muslim ranks and made the brave ones panic so they did what the liberated had done.

The question for which I determined these points is: was the prophet (peace be upon him) mistaken (far be it from him) in accompanying the liberated Muslims to Hunein battle although they were new in Islam? and they were weak in their faith as it is mentioned above without giving them a training in monotheism by the prophet (peace be upon him). In Sunan Al Termidy book we find a confirmation of that, according to it that when the prophet (peace be upon him) went out to Hunein, he passed by a tree that belonged to the polytheists used for hanging their arms called Dhat Anwat. The liberated Muslims said to the prophet (peace be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah make a Dhat Anwat tree for us like they have theirs. The prophet (peace be upon him) said: "glory to Allah, this is what the people of Moses said".

I am saying this because some sick hearted people disgraced the abundance of people who joined the Islamic State's army. Some of them caused victory for us in some regions. We did nothing but the tradition of the prophet (peace be upon him). Moreover, when he (peace be upon him) triumphed over the polytheists and took the booties, he gave the liberated and the migrated Muslims more than what he gave to the supporters although they were the majority according to Saheeh Al Bokhary book. Ibn Al Kaim said: " The lesson here was that Allah showed to the prophet (peace be upon him) that victory is not achieved by the numerousness of converted Muslims from different tribes nor by the ceasing of fighting from the side of the polytheists".

Despite of all what we said, we bring good news to our Ummah (nation) that "thanks to Allah" no Emir put off his arms after entering the Islamic State army, moreover they are now the heroes of fighting and the knights of battles as any one entered before them. Thanks to Allah.

Fifth: Preparation

Allah says: [ "And make ready against them all you can of power,….." ] (8:60). The writer of the Light of Eloquence said: "It's an obligation to prepare all what we are able of all sorts of force even if it is so high, so it is an obligation". It is known that the Jihad is a duty which concerns every Muslim especially in Iraq, and the thing that helps to make the duty is a duty in itself. The prophet (peace be upon him) said: "shoot O sons of Ismael, your father was a shooter". He said also: "the force is in shooting". Al Sanaani explained this Hadeeth by saying that the force is in shooting by arrows at that time and it includes shooting by gun against the polytheists and aggressors. Thus, the preparation for the battle against both the colonizers and apostates is a duty on every Muslim .

Here I am going to talk about:

1) What Al Tabary said about the explanation of Allah's saying "And make ready against them all you can of power", he Said that what you can have of all sort of things that may help you in producing arms. The industry of arms is the most important thing in Jihad for the cause of Allah. It is now called war industry. Allah mentioned this in many different issues in the Quran, moreover He mentioned its details, He says: ["And We taught him the making of metal coats of mail (for battles), to protect you in your fighting. Are you then grateful?"] (21:80). Al Tabary said that this means arms in general .Ibn Katheer said it means armors.

Allah mentioned how to produce armors, He says: [" Saying: "Make you perfect coats of mail, and balance well the rings of chain armor, …."] (34:11), "i.e large and long", and measure the links ". In The Light of Eloquence book: that means that you should make the nails and the rings equal in making the armors. Ibn Katheer said that armors were before in a form of plates and he was the first who produced it in a round way.

We recognize now that knowing the importance showed by Allah of producing armors to the point that Allah put its details. Allah granted his servants with this industry so, would you be thankful? But unfortunately most of the Mujahideen don't take care of this in our war against our enemy, there are many benefits in it most important of them is preserving the shelve of the Mujahid against the shoots of the enemy and it is the most precious thing for us and of which we are caring.

2) Assuring that no Mujaheed might be injured in a place that may hinder him from fighting or make him senseless, the fact that may lead him to be captured by the enemies.

3) We help the Mujahideen to be closer to the enemies especially for the heroes of penetration and the lions of martyrdom operations.

At last, we are not braver than the prophet (peace be upon him), he had an armor, a casque as well as a sword. In Saheeh Al Bukhary book: Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "the prophet died while his armor was pawned for a Jewish with thirty measures of wheat. It is confirmed in Musnad Ahmed and Abu Dawud that he (peace be upon him) fought with two armors in the battle of Uhud.

According to Anas Ibn Malik as in As-Sahihein book: the prophet (peace be upon him) entered to Mecca in the year of victory wearing a casque on his head. Allah showed us the different kinds of metals to produce any kind of arms. Allah says about the story of Dhu'l-Qarneyn: ["Give me pieces (blocks) of iron;" then, when he had filled up the gap between the two mountain-cliffs, he said: "Blow," then when he had made them (red as) fire, he said: "Bring me molten copper to pour over it."] (18:96). It means give me big pieces of metal, swell the fire and when it becomes red like a fire, he said "Bring me molten copper to pour over it" i.e melted copper. Nowadays, it is known that adding some copper to metal makes it stronger.

Allah instructed Noah how to produce a ship, He said: [ "And construct the ship under Our Eyes and with Our Revelation, and call not upon Me on behalf of those who did wrong; they are surely to be drowned"] (11:37). Al Tabary narrated according to Iben Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them), that Noah didn't know how to produce a ship, so Allah inspired him how to do so in an easy way.

The prophet (peace be upon him) praised those who conquered on ships as it is mentioned in the hadeeth told by Oum Hiram (may Allah be pleased with her), so is there any volunteer to do this kind of industry? Allah said: [ "……but Allâh struck at the foundation of their building, and then the roof fell down upon them, from above them,…..] (16:26). It is known for any expert in explosives and its use that this verse is truly the basis of the science of destruction by explosives knowing that the Prophet (peace be upon him) didn't encourage any industry more than the industry of producing arms of war when he said: "By the single arrow three persons enter paradise, its maker who had the good intention in making it, the shooter and the ostracizer". Thus, what can be said for a person who produces a missile or an airplane or create an explosive.

Media Preparation:

The battles of the Mujahedeen with their enemies today are on two main axes, the first is the military axis and it was mentioned before, and the second is the media axis, the evil media which distorted the identity of the nation, deviated its creed and values and laid the foundation of its dependency and psychological defeat, for the lava of the media war, is more dangerous on the nation than the missiles of the planes, hence the Mujahideen, who militarily defeated their enemy should fight on the other front which is the media front.

In "Al Musnad" book, "Anas Ibn Malik" narrated for the prophet (peace be upon him ): ((Fight the infidels with your tongues))

On the same book narrated by "Ka'b Ben Malik" for his father, the prophetic saying : ((The believer fights with both his hands and tongue, By Allah, the effect of words is like that of the arrows))

The prophet (peace be upon him ) used in his battle with infidels, the most effective media weapon at this time that had the most influential impact on the hearts of enemies which is poetry, "Anas Ben Malik" narrated in "Al Termidhi" book, that the prophet (peace be upon him) entered Mecca in Umarat al Qadaa with Abdullah Ben Rawahah in front of him reciting the poem:

O infidels! Make a way for the prophet

We will fight you today for his revelation

A fighting that carry death for you

And to sow dissension among you

Omar said: O Ibn Rawahah! Are you reciting poem in front of the prophet (peace be upon him ), and in the holy Masjid?? The prophet (peace be upon him ) said: ((Let him O Omar, his poetry affects them more rapid than the arrows do))

And as it was his happiness (peace be upon him ) when the military commander "Khaled Ibn Al Waleed" embraced Islam, it was his happiness when one of the great poets of his time embraced Islam, in the book "al Mojam al Kabeer" for "al Tabarani": when the representatives of al-Ansar (the supporters) came to pledge allegiance to the prophet (peace be upon him ) in "al-Aqabah", the prophet (peace be upon him ) asked "al-Abbas": (Do you know those two men?), he answered him (Yes, this is al-Bara'a Ibn Ma'aroor the head of his people and Ka'ab Ben Malik), "Ka'ab" says: (By Allah I couldn’t forget when the prophet (peace be upon him ) said: ((The poet??)), and "al-Abbass" said yes))

The prophet (peace be upon him ) sought to well prepare his poets, as he said to "Hassan" : ((Go to "Abu Bakr" to learn the demerits of people, for he has knowledge in lineages.)) And In Sahih Al-Bukhari Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that Hassan Ben Thabit asked for the permission of the prophet (peace be upon him ) to satirize the infidels, the prophet (peace be upon him ) asked him: ((How about my lineage?)), so Hassan said : (I will exclude you from them like we take off the hair from dough.)

The prophet (peace be upon him) was recognizing the good poem, and he said ((The most accurate poem was that of "Lubaid" who said : Everything but Allah is fake, and Umaya ben Abi al-Salet was about to embrace Islam.)). He (peace be upon him) also appointed a public speaker to defend Islam and Muslims, he was Thabit Ben Qais Ibn Shammas, who was promised with heaven, and when Banu Tameem came with them their public speaker and poet, the prophet (peace be upon him) said to Thabit Ben Qais: ((Go answer them)), and he answered them, then al-Aqra'a Ben Habis said : (By Allah Muhammad is supported, I don’t know what is this, our public speaker gave a speech then theirs gave a better speech, and our poet recited a poem, then theirs recited a better poem) then he went close to the prophet (peace be upon him) and said : (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and you are His messenger.).

We can sum up some of the objectives of the Islamic media in points, the most important of them are:

1) Defending the beliefs and honors of Muslims, Allah says: {Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allâh much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged (by replying back in poetry to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned.} (26: 227) excluding those from His description on the poets, Ibn Abbas interpreted this verse saying: (He meant those who repulse the lampoons of the disbelievers).

In the prophetic traditions, the prophet (peace be upon him) said: ((O Hassan, defend Allah's messenger, O Allah, let the Holy Spirit support him.)).

Ibn Asaker narrated that the prophet (peace be upon him) said : ((Who is willing to protect the honors of the Muslims?)) Ibn Ka'ab said: (Me), Ibn Rawahah said : (Me) and Hassan said : (Me), then the prophet (peace be upon him) said to Hassan : ((Yes you, satirize them and the Holy Spirit will support you.)). The prophet (peace be upon him) said : ((Allah swt supports Hassan with the Holy Spirit, as long as he defends Allah's messenger (peace be upon him).)).

2) Raising the will and determination of the Muslim youth, especially the Mujahedeen, for it was narrated by Salama Ibn al Akwa'a said : (We went with the prophet (peace be upon him) to Khaybar, we walked at night, then a man said to A'amer Ibn al-Akwa'a : "Would not you recite some poem for us?", and he was a poet, and then he recited poem for them (to raise their morale and determination).

3) Exposing the lies and falsehood of the beliefs and morals of the infidels and apostates, enlightening the nation about the falsehood of their civilization, restraining their aggressiveness towards Muslims and spreading terror inside their hearts.

Abdul-Barr narrated in Al-Este'aab that Ibn Sereen said : ((The Muslim poets were Hassan Ibn Thabit, Abdullah Ibn Rawahah and Ka'ab Ibn Malik, so Ka'ab was frightening them with mentioning war, Abdullah was insulting them with infidelity, and Hassan was satirizing their lineages.)) Ibn Sereen continued : ((And I was told that Daws tribe embraced Islam after being frightened from the poem of Ka'ab Ibn Malik which says :

We defeated Tehama and Khaybar...

and then we sheathed our swords.

We optioned them (swords) for the next war...

and if they was talking they would have said either Daws or Thaqeef

Hence Daws tribe people was like: (Beware, or you would be defeated like Thaqeef)

4) Transmitting a true picture about the reality of the battles which is going on between the heroes of Islam and their enemies and documenting the realities of the championships of Muslim youth for fear of their loss or stealing by blood traders.

Sixth: Humbleness and neediness to Allah.

Allah says :{Truly Allâh has given you victory on many battle fields, and on the Day of Hunain (battle) when you rejoiced at your great number, but it availed you naught and the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for you, then you turned back in flight.} (9:25).

Ibn Katheer said : (Ibn Gareesh narrated for Mujahed :"This was the first verse of surat Bra'ah, Allah mentions His grace and grants for Muslims when He rendered them victorious in many of their battles with the prophet (peace be upon him), and learning them that the victory was a grant from Allah, not due to their big numbers or good equipments, emphasizing on that the victory is only from Allah, either if they are few or much, for on the battle of Hunayn they were a lot, and they felt confident due to their big army and felt less neediness to Allah, hence they got defeated and the majority of them ran away except very few of them stood fast with the prophet (peace be upon him)).

The prophet (peace be upon him) said: ((Allah swt revealed to me that 'Be humble')), Ibn al-Aqayyem said: Continuous neediness to Allah with making some sins is better than being sinless without feeling neediness to Allah.

Abu Hurayra said, as in "Muslim" book : (Him who is Humble for sake of Allah, Allah honors him and raises his rank, in dunya (life) by granting him triumph and good mentioning, and in the hereafter by happiness in the heavens)
Ibn Battal said: (Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said "You miss a best Ibada(worship),which is Humbleness.)

Al-Tabari said: (Humbleness is a test from Allah to His slaves, to see to which degree of obedience will they reach… till he said: when the prophet (peace be upon him) entered Mecca victorious, people were pointing at him and saying 'This is him, this is him', and the prophet (peace be upon him) was bowing over his camel and saying :Allah is the Exalted and Lofty.

Then he said: (Tariq Ibn Shahab narrated that, when Umar Ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) went to Levant after victory over the Romans, he met a shallow water lake on his way, then he took off his shoes and passed it walking with his horse, hence Abu Ubayda said to him: "You did something low as people think", then Umar hit his chest and said : "You better not to think like that O Abu Ubayda, we were the most contemptible and low people, then Allah granted us glory by Islam, whatever you seek to be proud and glorious except by Islam, Allah will degrade and lower us.)

Seventh: Mentioning Allah.

Allah says :{O you who believe! When you meet (an enemy) force, take a firm stand against them and remember the Name of Allâh much (both with tongue and mind), so that you may be successful.} (8:45).)

Al-Tabari said: (Allah orders us to pray for victory and triumph over the disbelievers, let mentioning Allah fill your hearts and tongues. He narrated for Qatada : (Allah ordered us to mention Him while in the most occupied moments, while fighting.).

Al Qurtubi said interpreting this verse : (Scholars had three opinions in this verse:

1) Mention Allah when you feel weakness, because this will fix your hearts and grant you power in adversities.

2) Steadfast and mention Allah with your tongues, for the heart will steadfast and tranquil when the tongue mentions Allah, and says what the companions of Talut said {…Our Lord! Pour forth on us patience and make us victorious over the disbelieving people}(2:250).

And this will not be accomplished except with power of knowledge , insight and courage.

3) Remember that by giving your souls to Allah, He will generously reward you in return.

In my opinion, it bears all these meanings, remembering Allah by the tongue and encourage yourselves by mentioning Allah's promise of victory in this life, and heavens in the hereafter. Allah said to Moses and Aaron: "do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance." (42: 20), Ibn Katheer ,commenting on this verse, said: "what they are asked to do here is not to stop the Remembrance of Allah when they face Pharaoh, so that will help them to be stronger and will make him weaker. Same meaning came clear in the divine "Qudsi" tradition: "My true slave is him who remembers Me when he faces his foe." "

You also should know that remembering Allah in the battle should be secretly, as it was narrated and classed as authentic by Al-Hakem that "the Prophet ( peace be upon him) doesn't like the loud voice in the battle".

Eighth: Duaa (Making prayers)

Allah says : {" Say (O Muhammad (peace be upon him) to the disbelievers): "My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him."}(77:25),and says: { "…. so invoke Him making your worship pure for Him Alone"} (65:40), and says { " ….and invoke Him with fear and hope. Surely, Allâh's Mercy is (ever) near unto the good-doers. "} (56 : 7) , and says { " And your Lord said: "Invoke Me, (i.e. believe in My Oneness and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship (i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness) they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!"} (60: 40) and says : {" And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad (peace be upon him)) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near . I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright."} (168:2)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said : "Duaa is the worship", and Abu Hurayrah said –as narrated by Al-Hakem and others -for the Prophet (peace be upon him) : "The best thing to Allah is praying to Him ", he also said :" Allah will get angry at the one who doesn't ask Him".

Ibn Taymiyah said : " Victory and livelihood are given due to reasons, from the surest of it are the believers' prayers.". He also said : " The Prophet (peace be upon him) told his companions -before the victory achieved- that they will win Bader battle and told them the locations in which the enemies will be killed, that was due to his supplications and prayers."

And when the Prophet (peace be upon him) saw the numbers and strength of the enemy and his companions' weakness and fewness, he directly turned to the only one Who could grant them victory; "And there is no victory except from Allâh" (10:8). It was narrated in Saheeh Muslim that Omar bin Al-Khattab( may Allah be pleased with him) said : " in the Bader day, the Prophet (peace be upon him) looked at the infidels who were 1000 men, and his companions who were 319 men, then he turned to the Kiblah direction and raised his hands asking Allah: "O Allah! Fulfill Your promise to me, grant me what You promised me! O Allah! If those Muslim men are killed, you won't be worshipped anymore on earth.". And he kept raising his hands towards Kiblah and asking Allah until his garment fell down of his shoulders".

He also (peace be upon him) used to invoke Allah against the infidels in general; he used to say- as narrated in Al-Bukhari-: "O, Revealer of the Book, Mover of the clouds, Destroyer of the co-coalition (the enemies), destroy the co-coalition! O Allah defeat them, destroy them!".

Furthermore, he used to curse some of the infidels' leaders and prominent figures in particular. It was narrated in Saheeh Al-Bukhari that ibn Masoud said: "the Prophet (peace be upon him) turned to the Kaba'a and invoked Allah against men from Quraish; 'Shayba ibn Rabeea'ah', 'Otba ibn Rabeea'ah', 'Al-Waleed ibn Otba' and 'Abi-Jahl ibn Hisham', and I witness that I saw all of them killed and decayed later.

O believers in the Oneness of Allah! You should know that you are in a situation (i.e. fighting ) your prayers are mostly answered by Allah; it was narrated in the Muwatta'a that Sahl bin Sa'ad Al-Saidee (may Allah be pleased with him) said : " prayers at two specific times are mostly answered, and you could hardly find anyone whose prayers are not answered at them; first, during the calling to prayer and second, when facing the enemy's army."

So, O Mujahideen! Seek the best times when your prayers are most likely to be answered. For example, the hour of Friday, during the call to prayer, when rain is falling and in the last third of the night. It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “Our Lord descends every night to the lowest heaven when the last third of the night remains, and He says, ‘Who will call Me and I will answer him, who will ask Me that I will give him, who will ask My forgiveness, that I will forgive him?’” (narrated in Al- Bukhari and Muslim),and in another narration of the Hadeeth " who will ask Me to provide for, that I might provide for him, who will ask Me to remove the harm, that I might do?"

I do hope for Allah's response to our prayers, especially that we have been oppressed and wronged by our people as well as our enemies, and the whole world is against us. Here are good tidings for you, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Mua'adh: "Fear the prayer of the one who has been wronged, for there is no barrier between it and Allah." We have a clear example on this; a wronged and accused of lying prophet (i.e. Noah), he invoked Allah, how do you think was the response? Allah says: {" The people of Noah denied (their Messenger) before them. They rejected Our slave, and said: "A madman!" and he was insolently rebuked and threatened. Then he invoked his Lord (saying): "I have been overcome, so help (me)! So We opened the gates of heaven with water pouring forth. And We caused springs to gush forth from the earth. So the waters (of the heaven and the earth) met for a matter predestined. And We carried him on a (ship) made of planks and nails."} (9-13 :54).

O Mujahideen! You should also know that having the weak on our side with their prayers to Allah, this is from the paths of victory, as Abu-Hurayrah said-as narrated in Al-Bukhari- : "Abu- Sufyan said to me: "the Caesar told me: I asked you who had followed him (i.e. the Prophet –peace be upon him-), the nobles or the humbles, and you said the humbles, truly, they are the followers of the prophets.". Also, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Sa'ad ( may Allah be pleased with him) : "Are you granted blessings and victory from Allah, except due to your weak and humbles?!" That encourages the Mujahideen to take care of the weakly, women, children and old men, because they are mostly more sincere in praying , more Allah-fearing and in need for Allah's help.

In short, I want to remind you of Allah's sayings : {" O you who believe! Endure and be more patient (than your enemy), and guard your territory by stationing army units permanently at the places from where the enemy can attack you, and fear Allâh, so that you may be successful."} (200: 3), and His saying : { "..and put your trust in Allâh if you are believers indeed." (23:5), and His saying: " Truly, Allâh is with those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him), and those who are Muhsinűn (good-doers)."(128:16), " Verily, Allâh will help those who help His (Cause). Truly, Allâh is All-Strong, All-Mighty."} (40 : 22), and His saying : {" O you who believe! When you meet (an enemy) force, take a firm stand against them and remember the Name of Allâh much (both with tongue and mind), so that you may be successful." } (45:8).

These are the ways mentioned in the Quran to achieve victory, so hold fast to them.

Finally, I'm making this speech because the enemy has announced that his death toll in Iraq is only 4000.Though it is not correct, but we should celebrate this in our own way and make Bush, the loser, share us celebration. So, I'm asking our beloved heroes of the Islamic State to give as a gift to Bush the liar, a head of an American soldier per each squad, using any way suitable for you, and another head of the Americans' dirty slaves and servants in the "Awakening Councils" within a month of being informed of this call.

Also, I want you to offer the reward of this deed to the local people who were killed unjustly in Zangeeli, Ba'aqobah, Dowelebah and elsewhere. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Amr ibn Al-Ala'as : "if your father had been a monotheist and you had given money to charity or fasted instead of him, it would have been useful to him". And let this incursion be named " al-Birr" (piety, obedience) incursion.

We ask Allah , the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful to forgive our people, especially those who didn't fight the enemy with us because they surely died with a great sin and left out an obligatory task .We also ask Allah to guide All Muslims in general, and bring them back to rightness and their religion.

"And Allâh has full power and control over His Affairs, but most of men know not."

Your brother,

Abu-Hamzah Al-Muhajer
