Muslim Intellectual Asked For Stone Sample To Prove
That Hajar Al-Aswad Came From Heaven

A Muslim intellectual from Egypt, Prof. Dr. Zaghlul An-Najjar, requested the
Islamic world to obtain a sample of the Hajar Al-Aswad for about one or two
micro for research and to prove the hadith of Rasulullah SAW which mentioned
that the The Black Stone of the Ka'bah did not originate from the earth, but
from heaven.
In a seminar organized by the Journalists Union, which put up the theme,
“Scientific Miracles In Hajj”, An-Najjar convinced the Islamic world that
obtaining the sample would not do any damage to the Hajar Al-Aswad.
Furthermore, the Egyptian scholar also asserted that the Hajar Al-Aswad is made
up of tiny segments which are imbedded inside a thick substance. An-Najjar also
pointed out that the Institute of British Geography had already delegated a
respectable officer to do some research to the Hajar Al-Aswad before.
However, the officer became very much affected by the good behavior of the Hajj
participants (pilgrims) who sent him to the Masjid of Rasulullah, and then he
headed towards Makkah as he was tasked to do research on the Hajar Al-Aswad.
Then, the officer was again affected by what he saw and said that he had never
in his life witnessed a scene as deeply affecting as the scene of the Ka'bah
inside the majestic city of Makkah.
An-Njjar also discussed about Makkah al-Mukarramah which according to him is the
most noble location on earth. Because, he continued, just like Allah had given
advantage to a few prophets and messengers, Allah had also given advantage to a
few location on earth ie. Makkah, then Madinah and thirdly Baitul Maqdis.
As regards the ibaadah of Hajj, the professor of geology detailed some of the
signs of Allah's greatness in Hajj where it was explained that the Hajj per se
reminds mankind of their final destinations in these lives. Besides that, the
Thawwaf also signifies the harmonization of the earth movement with the movement
of every other planet in the universe towards one direction.
As regards the Ka'bah building, An-Najjar clarified that when the Ka'bah was
built, there was no measuring tool or equipment. "Who had determined (the
position of Ka'bah) in such detail and accuracy if not Allah?" he said.
Regarding the well of Zamzam, An-Najjar explained that the well is made of hot
rocks which had metamorphosed and is not poisonous. Zamzam is also a well that
had its water running for more than 4,000 years. The length of time for the
water of Zamzam to have run was not known until recently when tunnels were dug
around Makkah and then very detailed channels that have the resemblance of
noodles were found, thus the sources of the water could be traced.
An-Najjar also mentioned the theorem regarding the sources of the water from the
hadith of Rasulullah which said "It was Jibril's openings (of tunnels) in Aqobah
and a splash (of water) from Allah for Ismail".
An-Najjar also noted the city of Makkah as "Ummul Qura" like what is written in
Surah Al-An'am verse 92, where scientific proofs indicated that Makkah is
located right in the centre of the globe.
