Muharram 23, 1431 A.H, January 9, 2010

All praise be to Allah, the Mighty, the Helper, He who restrained then shamed those who opposed and Him, and humiliated those who renounced and showed enmity to Him. Allah (SWT) said:

﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحَادُّونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ كُبِتُوا كَمَا كُبِتَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ﴾

“Verily, those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad) will be disgraced, as those before them (among the past nation) were disgraced. And We have sent down clear Signs. And for the disbelievers is a disgracing torment.” (Al-Mujadilah: 5)

He who always speaks the truth said:

﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحَادُّونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ أُوْلَئِكَ فِي الأَذَلِّينَ * كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَأَغْلِبَنَّ أَنَا وَرُسُلِي إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ﴾

“Those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad), they will be among the lowest (most humiliated).” (Al-Mujadilah: 20)

All praise be to Him who honored those who aid His Cause and ally with Him, and to Him who promised authority to those who follow His Path and Guidance. He (SWT) said:

﴿وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ اللّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ فَإِنَّ حِزْبَ اللّهِ هُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ﴾

“And whosoever takes Allah, His Messenger, and those who have believed, as Protectors, then the party of Allah will be the victorious.” (Al-Ma’idah: 56)

And he (SWT) said:

﴿وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُم فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَى لَهُمْ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُم مِّن بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِمْ أَمْناً يَعْبُدُونَنِي لَا يُشْرِكُونَ بِي شَيْئاً وَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ﴾

“Allah has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the rebellious sinners.” (Al-Noor: 55)

And may complete peace and blessings be upon His beloved and selected Prophet, he whose status and mention was elevated and whose religion was preserved, and upon his family, companions, and all those who follow his footsteps. To proceed:

In just a few years, Ar-Room (the Westerners) have been defeated in Afghanistan, and after this defeat they will be annihilated. Their flag has been lowered and their cross has been smashed, and Allah gave honor to His religion, aided his army, and honored His Book in spite of their wishes. We still remember their self-conceited president, who now is in the trash-bin of history, speaking all puffed up out of pride and insolence several years ago, dividing the world into two sides, “Whoever is not with us is against us.” The subservient fell in prostration to him and the fearful obeyed; and so they joined their ranks, sought protection in them, and humiliated themselves. But the people of truth and belief stood up with their truthfulness and their ingrained creed to say the words of others who preceded them:

﴿وَلَمَّا رَأَى الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الأَحْزَابَ قَالُوا هَذَا مَا وَعَدَنَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَصَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَمَا زَادَهُمْ إِلاَّ إِيمَاناً وَتَسْلِيماً﴾

“And when the believers saw Al­Ahzab (the Confederates), they said: ‘This is what Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad) had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad) had spoken the truth,’ and it only added to their faith and to their submissiveness (to Allah).” (Al-Ahzab: 22)

At that time, when the scholars who claim “prudence and wisdom” and to act and speak in alleged “general interest” of the Ummah, not knowing that Allah had exposed them and revealed their hidden intentions, as He says:

﴿فَتَرَى الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يُسَارِعُونَ فِيهِمْ يَقُولُونَ نَخْشَى أَن تُصِيبَنَا دَآئِرَةٌ فَعَسَى اللّهُ أَن يَأْتِيَ بِالْفَتْحِ أَوْ أَمْرٍ مِّنْ عِندِهِ فَيُصْبِحُواْ عَلَى مَا أَسَرُّواْ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ نَادِمِينَ * وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَهَـؤُلاء الَّذِينَ أَقْسَمُواْ بِاللّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ إِنَّهُمْ لَمَعَكُمْ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فَأَصْبَحُواْ خَاسِرِينَ﴾

“And you see those in whose hearts there is a disease (of hypocrisy), they hurry to their friendship, saying: ‘We fear lest some misfortune of a disaster may befall us.’ Perhaps Allah may bring a victory or a decision according to His Will. Then they will become regretful for what they have been keeping as a secret in themselves.” (Al-Ma’idah: 52)

…at that time when the whole world deserted this small group of people, the Leader of the Believers, stood up with his unwavering belief, relying upon Allah (SWT) and trusting in His promise, and spoke those words which were recorded and will remain recorded in the annuls of history,

“I am in between two promises. As for Bush, he has promised me defeat, but as for Allah (SWT), He has promised me victory. We will see whose promise will become true!”

And here we see today whose promise it was which came true! Indeed it is no other than the promise of Allah (SWT)! Indeed it is a promise made by One who does not break promises. Allah (SWT) says:

﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَنصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ﴾

“O you who believe! if you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm..” (Muhammad: 47)

Allah is the Greatest!

Allah is the Greatest!

Allah is the Greatest!

Allah is the Greatest! The Crusade Empire has been subdued

And by the sword has He honored the religion of the Chosen Arab!

This is what even hopes were shy

to ask even in their dreams!

Yes my brothers! Indeed Allah has raised His Book, honored His army and humiliated His enemies. O Allah, to You be all praise, our Lord! O Allah, to You be all praise, for the evil You have averted, this great matter which You have granted us, the goodness You have sent down to us, the enemy which you have broken, the aid You gave to your beloved slaves, Your raising of the religion and the legislation which you have granted authority. Yes my brothers! This is how we should place our trust in Allah. This is how I chose to start – to start with that which Allah (SWT) started with when He reminded the companions of the Prophet of His great favor upon them the Day of the Confederates. Allah (SWT) said:

﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَاءتْكُمْ جُنُودٌ فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحاً وَجُنُوداً لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيراً﴾

“O you who believe! Remember Allah's Favour to you, when there came against you hosts, and We sent against them a wind and forces that you saw not [i.e. troops of angels during the battle of Al­Ahzab (the Confederates)]. And Allah is Ever All­Seer of what you do.” (Al-Ahzab: 9)

Yes brothers! We have come to this stage in which we can see the glad tidings of victory in the horizons. The thoughts of authority are now becoming a reality for all those who are true and believe in the Promise of Allah (SWT). However, the Muslims and Mujahidoon have not reached this from a joyride. Rather it was a journey filled with difficulty and exhaustion, until they reached this stage which Allah (SWT) allowed them to.

So my brothers: just as we remind you of this great favor which we have reached by the bounty of Allah (SWT), we must also remember the fruits this battle has produced in these few short years. Yes my brothers, this battle has only lasted a few years, but with who?

Indeed it is with America, that country to which all others in the East and the West bowed down to. That country which if mentioned, would seize them with fear, making their hearts tremble and eyes roll upwards, as if it was Allah! May Allah be far exalted above this. Where is America today? Where is its strength? Where is its arrogance? Where is its tyranny? Where is its awe? Indeed all these things were trampled under the feet of the barefoot, poor, and weak, those who live in valleys and the tops of mountains, under trees, in the cold and the heat, constriction and hunger. Yes they were like this, but they sought honor in their religion, replied upon Allah and placed their trust in the Promise of Allah (SWT) until Allah humiliated this empire with their hands. I had once said before as I am standing here now, that America will be subdued and humiliated as other empires were before it, and their noses will be rubbed in the dirt. Here we are today watching their noses being rubbed in the slime of Afghanistan, the slime of Iraq, and it has been humiliated as were other empires before them. Today it is looking for a way out of Afghanistan, which they call a “new strategy”, which is nothing other than a strategy to flee, run away, and save whatever they can of themselves.

Yes my brothers! Indeed Allah (SWT) has chosen bestowed this great and noble bounty upon us so that we can remember and remind each other, for indeed thankfulness is tied to favors, for through it Allah increases them, as He (SWT) said:

﴿ وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ ﴾

“And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed: ‘If you give thanks (by accepting Faith and worshipping none but Allah), I will give you more (of My Blessings), but if you are thankless (i.e. disbelievers), verily! My Punishment is indeed severe’.” (Ibraheem: 7)

But as we mentioned before dear brothers, results the Mujahidoon in Afghanistan have achieved today was not through a joyride, but rather it was a journey of sacrifice, efforts, patience, steadfastness and one accomplished through certainty of faith in Allah (SWT). As we mention these great blessings, we must also remember the courage and unique men who faced these tough challenges to bring things back to normal, to say to the entire world, while it boasts about in pride and haughtiness, “Indeed Allah have made us the true promise, and Allah never breaks His promise. We will be helped against you, and we will establish Allah’s (SWT) religion. Allah says:

﴿ إِنَّا لَنَنصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الأَشْهَادُ ﴾

“Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) in this world's life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth, (i.e. Day of Resurrection).” (Ghafir: 51)

So all praise be to You Alone, our Lord, for all the known and unknown blessings you have bestowed upon us.

This battle, my brothers, was one waged by the Ummah as a whole: by the orphan through his being orphaned, by the bereaved of children through her bereavement, by the poor through their poverty, by the weak through their weakness, by the rich through their wealth, by the youth through their wealth, by the courageous through their patience, and by the righteous slaves of Allah through their prayers. This result is a trust which has been given to the leaders of Jihad which they must protect and take care of. They must remain firm upon this path which they first traversed having nothing other than Allah (SWT). They must be careful not to turn towards things other than Allah (SWT) when He has granted them this great victory and authority. By Allah, if we look to other than Him, we will be belittled in front of Allah (SWT), and He will take away this great blessing from us and give it to others, for at that point we would not be deserving of it:

﴿ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْا يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْماً غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُونُوا أَمْثَالَكُمْ ﴾

“And if you turn away (from Islam and the obedience to Allah), He will exchange you for some other people: and they will not be your likes.” (Muhammad: 38)

I said what I have said, and I seek forgiveness from Allah the Magnificent for me and you.

[Second Khutbah]

All praise be to Allah. I praise him with numerous pure and blessed praises, and may peace and blessings be upon His Prophet, Muhammad, upon all his family and companions and upon all others who follow his guidance and abide by His Sunnah until the Day of Recompense. To proceed:

Dear brother, on this day we must remember our brothers who sacrificed their lives for this religion. We must remember those people who bodies were ripped apart so that they could be bricks in lofty palace of the Islamic Caliphate. The caravan of Jihad and sacrifice continues on, and day by day is comes closer to the spread of Allah’s religion (). Indeed we say, while we have great trust in Allah and His Promise, Allah (SWT) willing this will not be limited to Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen or Algeria. Rather it will encompass the entire world, as the truthful and trusted Prophet (PBUH) informed us in his saying:

« إنّ الله زوى لي الأرض مشرقها ومغربها وإنّ مُلك أُمّتي سيبلغ ما زوى لي منها »

“Allah gathered together the whole earth from its east to its west. Indeed my Ummah will rule all which was gathered for me from it.”

He (SWT) also said:

« ليبلغنّ هذا الأمر ما بلغ الليل والنهار ولا يترك الله بيت وبرٍ ولا مدر إلا أدخله دين الإسلام بعز عزيزٍ أو بذل ذليل عز يعز الله به الإسلام وذل يذل الله به الكُفر »

“Indeed this religion will reach every place which receives daylight and upon which night falls. Allah will not leave even anyone, whether nomads or city-dwellers except that Islam will be made present there, whether with the might and honor of the mighty and honorable – through which Allah will give might and honor to the Islam, or with the humiliation of the humiliated – through which Allah will humiliate infidelity.”

He (SWT) also said:

« ستكون النبوة فيكم ما شاء الله أن تكون ثم يرفعها الله إذا شاء أن يرفعها ثم تكون خلافة على منهاج النبوة فتكون فيكم ما شاء الله أن تكون ثم يرفعها إذا شاء أن يرفعها ثم تكون مُلكاً عاضّاً فيكون فيكم ما شاء الله أن يكون ثم يرفعه الله إذا شاء أن يرفعها ثم يكون ملكاً جبرياً فيكون فيكم ما شاء الله أن يكون ثم يرفعه الله إذا شاء أن يرفعه ثم تكون خلافة على منهاج النبوة »

“Prophethood will remain in your midst as long as Allah wills, then Allah will raise it when He will. Then there will be a Prophetic Caliphate as long as Allah wills, then He will raise it when he wills. Then there will be a difficult kingship as long as Allah wills, then He will lift it when He wills. Then there will be a tyrannical kingship as long as Allah wills, then He will lift it when He wills. Then there will be a Prophetic Caliphate.”

He () remained silent and did not say anything after that. This is a Promise from Allah which the Prophet (PBUH) informed us of: that the religion of Allah which He will make superior will extend over the earth, from the East to the West, and no house, village or city will remain except that Islam will be present there. All people will accept Islam and live under its laws. This is a promise which will not be broken. All the money the infidels spend and all their plots and plans to stamp out the religion of Islam () has no value. It will blow away in the air and will be a source of anguish for them. Allah (SWT) said:

﴿ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ فَسَيُنفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ ﴾

“Verily, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend it; but in the end it will become an anguish for them. Then they will be overcome.” (Muhammad: 38)

Here you are seeing with yours own eyes what America has spent and the budget they gave to the Defence Department. It is a source of anguish for them, and as for their defeat, they have already been defeated, Allah (SWT) willing. Allah (SWT) says:

﴿ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِؤُواْ نُورَ اللّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى اللّهُ إِلاَّ أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ * هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ ﴾

“They intend to put out the Light of Allah (i.e. the religion of Islam, this Quran, and Prophet Muhammad) with their mouths. But Allah will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate (it). It is He is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad) with the guidance and the religion of truth (Islamic Monotheism) to make it victorious over all (other) religions, even though the polytheists hate (it).” (As-Saff: 8-9)

Let them die from their rage; let them die from their fury; let them die from their anguish; let them die from their regret, for indeed the religion of Allah (SWT) continues to rise, its rays continue to shine, and people continue to accept it en masse, as Allah (SWT) said – and we say this now:

﴿ إِذَا جَاء نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ * وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجاً * فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّاباً ﴾

“When the aid of Allah and His victory comes. And you see people entering the religion of Allah in crowds. Glorify the praises of Allah and seek forgiveness from Him. Indeed He is Oft-Accepting of repentance.” (An-Nasr: 110:1-3)

The Truth rises supreme and falseness falls,

and Allah is not to be questioned about His Rules

If a condition changes

indeed Allah never changes.

Ease after hardship is a promise which must come

And a result of patience is a near victory.

O Allah, to You be all praise, our Lord! O Allah, to You be all praise for your blessings! O Allah, to you be all praise for what You have granted! O Allah, to You be all praise for what you have opened, may You be exalted!

O Allah send Your praises upon Muhammad and his family, as You sent Your praises upon the family of Ibraheem; and send your blessings upon Muhammad and his family, as You sent Your blessings upon the family of Ibraheem. Indeed You are Most-Praiseworthy, Most-Majestic.

O Allah! Give honor and might to Islam and humiliate paganism and the pagans!

O Allah! Aid Your slaves with supportive Help, and grant them a clear victory!

O Allah! Guide their aim, correct their views, make their feet firm, join their hearts, unite them, and tighten their ranks as You love and are pleased with!

O Allah! Give honor and might to Your religion through them and give them honor and might through Your religion!

O Allah! Relieve our imprisoned brothers! O Allah! Release them from captivity, and hasten their deliverance. O Allah! Bring them back to their families safely, in good health and profitable!

O Allah! Aid Your religion, Your Book and Your righteous slaves!

O Allah! Aid the Mujahidoon in Afghanistan. O Allah! Give them a clear victory! O Allah! reestablish their state, better, stronger and more expansive and quicker than before, O Lord of all that exists!

O Allah! Aid the Mujahidoon in Waziristan!

O Allah! Aid the Mujahidoon in Iraq. O Allah! Grant them authority as You Love and are pleased with!

O Allah! Aid the Mujahidoon in Somalia! O Allah grant them a clear victory, O Lord of all that exists!

O Allah! Aid the Mujahidoon in Yemen! O Allah! Guide their attacks! O Allah! Increase them in strength, firmness and guidance, O Lorf of all that exists!

O Allah! Aid the Mujahidoon in Algeria! O Allah! Make their feet firm! Make their plans a success and bless them! Send them your hosts as help, O He to whom belongs the hosts of the heavens and the earth!

O Allah! Aid your believing Mujahid slaves in Palestine! O Allah! Unite them! Guide their hearts! Make their feet firm! Raise their flag! O Allah! Shame your enemies and their enemies through them!

O Allah! Aid the Mujahidoon in Chechnya! O Allah! Make them firm and strengthen them, O Lord of all that exists! O Allah! Shower them with patience, make their feet firm, and help them against the infidels!

And our final prayer is that all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all that exists.
