A Sincerity To The Enemy
Safar 06, 1432 A.H, Tuesday, January 11, 2011
All praises belong to Allah, Rabbul
‘Alamin, may salawat and salam be showered upon Rasulullah,
his family, his sahabahs, as well as the people who follow
them well until the Day of Judgement.
Wa ba’du:
In these sheets of paper, I would like to
express my sincerity to anyone who reads it from among those
who claim to be Muslim, who either consciously or
unconsciously, have fallen into disbelief (kufr),
idolatry (shirk) and the obvious nullifiers of one's
Islam, especially those from among the enforcers of the
man-made laws (the UUD or Constitution, and the laws derived
from it) or those who give their loyalty to that man-made
laws, with the hope that they become aware of what exactly it
is they are doing, then pull themselves out of it and quit it
for the sake of attaining the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala
and be prevented from abiding in hell.
The proof of my sincerity is that, I do not ask for any reward
or payment – except the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala –
from you all, in fact I could even be treated badly by some of
you guys, as a result of this paper which could offend you,
but I pray that some of you may open your hearts to it, to
understand and practice it. And in any case, it is not
appropriate for you to be angry with me because, is it
appropriate for someone to get angry at the person who tells
him that there is dirt on his body? He should be grateful to
him instead.
Know that the main matter, the primary capital of one's Islam
and the very first duty that Allah enjoins upon mankind, to
learn and practice before Salat, zakat,
sawm, hajj and other ibaadah, is to be
kafir towards the thaghut and to purify the
tawheed towards Allah Ta’ala. And that is
the purpose of creation, the purpose of the missions of the
Mesengers and the revelation of His Books,
“And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” [Adz-Dzariyat: 56] i.e. except to worship Me alone.
“And We
certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying],
'Worship Allah and avoid Thaghut.'”
[An-Nahl: 36]
Kafir towards the thaghut and iman
or acknowledging the oneness of Allah Ta’ala (tawheed)
constitute the greatest Islamic bond, that no person may be
safe from the hell without holding firmly to it, and all
ibaadah, be it Salat, zakat, sawm,
hajj, jihad and others, will not be accepted
without it, because it's the only Islamic bond that is
guaranteed to not be broken, while as for the other bonds or
ibaadah, they are not enough to guarantee safety from
hell without being kafir towards thaghut and
iman towards Allah.
“Whoever disbelieves in Thaghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that never breaks.” [Al-Baqarah: 256]
“But
those who have avoided Thaghut, lest they worship it, and
turned back to Allah - for them are good tidings. So give good
tidings to My servants.”
[Az-Zumar: 17]
In that verse, Allah Ta’ala gives precedence to the
attitude of kafir towards thaghut and
avoiding them, over the attitude of iman towards
Allah and returning to Him. This is no other than an emphasis
on the importance of the attitude of kafir towards
thaghut in the realization of the laa
ilaaha illallaah, where the iman
towards Allah Ta’ala has no benefit without kufr
(kafir) towards thaghut. Because indeed the
of two pillars: namely لا إله in which the
meaning is kafir towards thaghut or avoiding
them, and إلا الله in which the meaning is
iman towards Allah or worshiping Him. When one of
them is performed, but the other is not then the Shahadah
of لا إله إلا الله is not yet valid, although a person is
claiming (of already performing) it, just as the salat
has many pillars and when a majority of them are done but the
pillar of sujud is not done, then a person's
salat is not valid, though he claims of already
performing salat.
Al-Imam Sulaiman Ibnu Abdillah Ibnu Muhammad rahimahullah
said:
“just
the pronunciation of the kalimah shahadah without knowing its
meaning and without practicing its consequences in the form of
a commitment to tawheed, leaving the big shirk and kufr
towards thaghut, then indeed it (pronunciation of shahadah) is
not beneficial based on the ijma (agreement reached by the
ulama's).” [Shaikh
Ali Al-Khudlair's Kitab Al-Haqaiq who quoted from Taisir Al-Aziz
Al-Hamid]
Whereas, included amongst the thaghut which you must
deny and the worship of which you must avoid, so that the
shahadah that you declared becomes valid, is the man-made laws
and their inventors, just as Allah Ta’ala says:
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُواْ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَتَحَاكَمُواْ إِلَى الطَّاغُوتِ وَقَدْ أُمِرُواْ أَن يَكْفُرُواْ بِهِ
“Have
you not seen those who claim to have believed in what was
revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before
you? They wish to refer legislation to Thaghut, while they
were commanded to reject it.”
[An-Nisa: 60]
Here, Allah Ta’ala mentions the referenced laws other
than the law of Allah, as thaghut, whether it is the
laws, or the human or institution that makes them. And the
iman of the people who abandon the law of Allah and
instead refer to the made-made law, is no more than just a
claim, and their acts of referring to that law is contrary to
the attitude of kafir towards thaghut which
has been prescribed. And their acts of referring to that law
is an ibaadah towards the thaghut, because
ibaadah has many forms, just like sujud,
ruku’, do'a, nadzar and slaughtering
are ibaadah, then so is obedience and loyalty to the
law, it is an ibaadah towards the maker of that law,
as what Allah Ta’ala says about the Christians:
اتَّخَذُواْ أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ اللّه
“They
have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah…”
[At-Taubah: 31]
Because, the deification and ibaadah (worship)
towards the 'alim ulama's and monks committed by the
Christians is not by the sujud, ruku’ and
salat given to them, but because they obey and give
loyalty to the laws that they invented, whether in terms of
making halal (permission) or making haram
(prohibition), such as in the tafseer of the Prophet
Salallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam on that verse when he
said to ‘Adiy Ibnu Hatim:
أليسوا يحلون ما حرم الله فتحلونه ويحرمون ما أحل الله فتحرمونه
"Don't they
make halal what Allah forbids and then you make then halal,
and they forbid what Allah makes halal and then you forbid
them?"
Then ‘Adiy said: “Yes, it's true.”
Then Rasulullah SAW said: "So
that is the worship toward them."
And the same goes with the issue of replacing the sanction for
adulterers which should be by stoning, but the Jewish leaders
agreed to replace them with the laws of their own invention
i.e. tahmim (smudging of the face) and flogging, thus
verses of the Qur’an were sent down, which includes:
وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ
“And
whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is
those who are the disbelievers (kafir).”
[Al-Maidah: 44]
In fact, adherence or loyalty to one man-made law alone is
shirk which invalidates one's Islam, just as Allah says:
وَلاَ تَأْكُلُواْ مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِسْقٌ وَإِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَى أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ لِيُجَادِلُوكُمْ وَإِنْ أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ إِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُونَ
“And do
not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been
mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed do
the devils inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with
you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be
associators [of others with Him] (mushrik).”
[Al-An’am: 121]
Where it is explained in this verse, as the reason for it to
be revealed, the debate by the polytheists against the
Muslims, while urging them to approve the legalization/making
halal of carcasses, thus Allah Ta’ala
cautions the Muslims from it, while warning them that when the
Muslims obey them, even in just one ruling, i.e. making
halal of the carcasses, then they would also become
mushrik. Because the nuzul of this verse is
narrated by Al-Hakim in Al-Mustadrak from Ibnu ‘Abbas RA with
a saheeh sanad.
In fact, the obedience and fidelity to the man-made laws or
the laws of the thaghut can make one murtad,
even to just one ruling, as Allah says:
“Indeed,
those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had
become clear to them - Satan enticed them and prolonged hope
for them. That is because they said to those who disliked what
Allah sent down, 'We will obey you in part of the
matter.' And Allah knows what they conceal.”
[Muhammad: 25-26]
When being faithful and obedient to just one thaghut
law is a cause of murtad, then what about the people
who swear allegiance to all the made-made laws and rulings?
And what about the people who arrest or investigate the people
who violate that thaghut laws and drag them to court?
How about the people who ensnare and charge those people who
violated that thaghut laws, as well as prosecuting
them based on that thaghut laws?
And how about the people who sentenced them according to that
law?
And how about the people who do not confine and do not release
people from prison except with reference to the guidelines of
that thaghut laws?
If you are men of understanding, you will surely know the
answer. Then, what is the solution?
The answer is in the verse of Allah Ta’ala:
فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ
“So flee
to Allah..” [Adz-Dzariyat:
50]
Yes, flee and leave the jobs and positions of office which are
shirk and kufr, and actualize the
realization of tawheed by quitting them….
Free yourselves from other law-makers besides Allah and from
the loyalty to their rules now, while there is still life
before the coming of the days when the liberation from them
will not be helpful anymore:
حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءنَا قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِينُ. وَلَن يَنفَعَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ إِذ ظَّلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
“Until, when he
comes to Us [at Judgement], he says [to his companion],
'Oh, I wish there was between me and you the distance
between the east and west - how wretched a companion.'
And never will it benefit you that Day, when you have wronged,
that you are [all] sharing in the punishment.”
[Az Zukhruf: 38-39]
On that day then you will be sorry of why you have not become
a defender of the teachings of Allah and His Rasul,
and you will regret of why, while being in this world, you are
instead obeying the leaders and government who are not ruling
with the laws of Allah Ta’ala:
يَوْمَ تُقَلَّبُ وُجُوهُهُمْ فِي النَّارِ يَقُولُونَ يَا لَيْتَنَا أَطَعْنَا اللَّهَ وَأَطَعْنَا الرَّسُولَا. وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّا أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَاءنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا السَّبِيلَا
“The Day
their faces will be turned about in the Fire, they will say,
'How we wish we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the
Messenger.' And they will say, 'Our Lord,
indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries, and they led
us astray from the [right] way.'”
[Al Ahzab: 66-67]
Then that's when they hope to return to the world, not to
perform salat, sawm, zakat or
hajj because while in the dunya, there were many
of them who diligently perform salat, sawm,
hajj and zakat as well, but they want to
return to the world to free themselves from their leaders,
their government and superiors, as well as their invented
laws, which has plunged them into kufr:
“[And
they should consider that] when those who have been followed
disassociate themselves from those who followed [them], and
they [all] see the punishment, and cut off from them are the
ties [of relationship]. Those who followed will say,
'If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could
disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated
themselves from us.' Thus will Allah show them their
deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from
the Fire.” [Al-Baqarah:
166-167]
So while there is a chance now, get out of your job which is
shirk, as well as kafir! Do not worry about
not getting rizq because the One Who gives rizq
is only Allah Ta’ala, not His creatures whoever they
are. Don't you think that if you leave now you will not be
able to have anything to eat (survive) and support your
family, be assured that when the kafir who oppose
Allah are provided rizq by Allah Ta’ala,
then how could the people who possess tawheed not
given rizq? But Allah Ta’ala does test His
slaves who have tawheed with the trials of the world
in the form of hunger, fear and others, so be patient in
living it.
This is the sincerity coming from me to you all, without
expecting anything in return from you guys...
Don't be deceived by the suu dai'e or
ulama's who embellish the truth of your jobs and allow
them, because they are “con men” who lead you astray, whether
because of wanting a little piece of the dunya that
you have with you or out of fear of your wrath if they don't
justify your jobs…
If you do not believe in I have conveyed, then let us together
wait for the verdict of Allah on the day of the final
judgment…
