JAKARTA– Accused and slandered? It is the risk that has to be taken by the Islamic media which are consistent in defending Jihad and the Muslims. Accusation and fitnah usually come from the enemies of Islam who are under the control of America under the pretext of “war on terror” or from those who are infected by the disease of Islamophobia or anti-Islam. One of them is Said Aqil Siraj, chairman of PBNU (General Board of the Nahdlatul Ulama) who asked the government to shut down Arrahmah.com. Too much!

Arrahmah.com Is Slandered Again

It is not the first time that Arrahmah.com was slandered. The consistency to always report news about the Islamic world and the international jihad makes Arrahmah.com become the target of the enemies of Islam, especially the Zionist Crusader conspiracy that is followed by its stooges all over the world. Various ways have been done, mainly by forming the public opinion that the website of Arrahmah.com is a terrorist propaganda website that should be removed.

Ansyad Mbai, head of the BNPT (National Counter-Terrorism Agency), ) had erroneously and tendentiously alleged that Arrahmah.com is one of 11 websites he accused as terrorist propaganda websites. Mbai claimed that the data used to charge Arrahmah.com as the terrorist propaganda website came from an institution which is based in Australia. Said Aqil asserted that the radical websites have bent the meaning of jihad in the teachings of Islam. So, the radical websites are more dangerous as they corrupt the iman.

“If someone opens the radical websites, the effect would be that, that person will have a wrong understanding of religion. It is that mistake that could lead someone to be a perpetrator of terrorism. If the porno websites corrupt the akhlaq, the websites that contain radical ideas could corrupt the iman,” he said.
