Ustadz Amman & Aceh Mujahideen Began To Stand Trial

Who doesn't know Ustadz Amman? He is a figure of a da’ie who is consistent in conducting da’wah. Also known as an intelligent and a faqih in Islam, especially regarding the subject of tawheed. He routinely conduct da’wah to explain the meaning of La ilaha ilallah and its implications in life, to all regions of Indonesia.

Ironically, on Friday (19/3/2010) Ustadz Amman, who was resting with his families, was apprehended and taken forcibly by the Densus 88 from his residence in Cipanteneun village, Sumedang, West Java. Now, along with 23 Aceh Mujahideen he is ready to stand trial in the State Court, Thursday (26/8/2010).

From the 23 people who will be on trial, other than Ustadz Amman, there are other names like Abu Rimba and Pangku Mukhtar.

“They are charged with conducting training in Aceh. But as for the more complete indictment, I do not know yet, because the trial only starts today,” a member of the TPM (Team of Muslim Lawyers), Asludin said from the State Court, Thursday (26/8/2010).

They Are Mujahids Not Terrorists!

As is already known, previously the Densus 88 had arrested 102 people who were accused of being terrorists for conducting military trainings in the Mountain of Jalin, Aceh Besar, in last February. Out of those 102 people, 66 of them had been detained and 23 of them are tried today.

To this day, it still could not be ascertained what actually underlie the activity of the military trainings in Aceh. So, even though the National Police HQ have already set that the activities in Aceh is terrorism, it needs to be studied formally, as expressed by Ahmad Michdan, Leader of the TPM.

“The terrorist activities in Aceh had to be studied formally, who had suggested it, who was facilitating the training, how did they come to Aceh and so on. It should get the attention of the National Police HQ.”

Habib Rizieq, the leader of the FPI in fact has already identified that the case of the “Aceh Tersorists” was an engineered terrorism played by Sufyan Tsauri, a deserter of the Brimob.

“It was Sufyan Tsauri who recruited and trained the accused “Aceh Terrorists” at the Brimob Command HQ in Kelapa Dua, Depok, West Java since 2009, that it has no connection at all with Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba’asyir,” Habib asserted.

Some members of the military training in Aceh who were recruited from the members of the FPI, even believed and were confident, as well as making those trainings as a training and preparation for jihad (i’dad) for later to be dispatched to Palestine, to help their Muslim brothers and sisters who are oppressed by Israel laknatullah. With that, they are certainly not terrorists as alleged all this while, but they are Mujahids!

After Ustadz Amman was arrested, Ustadz ABB was arrested next and accused of being involved in terrorism. One big question that descends upon the minds of the Muslims today, are these arrests an indication that the Ulama’s and Islamic activists are beginning to be detained? Is only because of conducting da’wah, wanting to implement the Shari’a of Islam, and being consistent with the kalimah La ilaha ilallah, a Muslim in the country which they say has the Muslim majority has to be arrested?

The ummah should know that all these arrests are only based on the slogan of ‘War on Terror’ which in truth is a war against Islam and the Muslims, which was buzzed and headed by America, the true terrorist.

Does the Islamic ummah in this country simply want to be fed by the doctrines and beliefs of America which in reality does not want the revival of Islam to happen in this country?

Therefore, the Islamic ummah should be concerned and follow carefully every arrest and the development that follows, much less what happens to the da’ies like Ustadz Amman and Ustadz ABB.
