Sheikh
Shariif sets conditions to release 11 US soldiers seized in Somalia
Somalia's routed Islamic leader Sheik Sharif Sheik
Ahmed and the US ambassador to Kenya, Michael Ranneberger, have come
to bidding over the release of 11 US occupation solder reportedly
captured by the Islamic force in southern Somalia. According to Al-Khaleej
news agency based in Emirates quoting DPA news agency reliable
diplomatic sources indicate that at least the two men have had four
rounds of talks over the American soldiers in the captivity of Islamic
force in southern jungles of the war-torn country, Somalia. Mr.
Ranneberger has asked the Islamic leader in the custody of Kenyan
authority to order the release the US occupation soldiers who were
seized during heavy ground skirmishes between the Somalia mujahiddeen
and the American soldiers accompanied by Ethiopian occupation troops.
Sources say the incident took place nearly three weeks ago in southern
Somalia. According to Al-Khaleej, Sheik Sharif stipulated the release
of the soldiers with several conditions. He said: "Ethiopian
soldiers in Somalia should be withdrawn immediately, America should
halt the military action in south the country, I should be transferred
from Kenya to another safe country (probably Yemen) and the United
States should tell the world that 11 of its marine soldiers were
seized in Somalia."
Sheik Sharif said if these conditions were fulfilled, they would facilitate the release of the American occupation soldiers, asserting he would always feel insecure and unsafe as long as he lingers in Kenya. Mr. Ranneberger, who was campaigning for the so call "African peacekeeping force" to Somalia, has always told the world press that moderate Islamic leader like Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed should be inclusive in the Somali so call "transitional government" that is now formally in control of the country with the help of the thousands of ethiopian occupation troops. In further development the American are once again claming the Islamic Courts of regrouping in other countries, blaming Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Eritrea, they have singled out Eritrea for "destabilizing" the region.
Freed
Guantanamo inmate to contest Australian state election
A former
Australian Mujahid suspect who was jailed for more than three years in
the US military's Guantanamo Bay prison camp announced plans Thursday
to stand in an upcoming state election. Mamdouh Habib said he was
putting himself forward as a candidate in next month's New South Wales
state election to campaign against Australia's involvement in the Iraq
war and the country's tough counter-terrorism laws. Habib said he was
standing for "the right of freedom of expression and in opposition to
the anti-terrorist laws, state and federal, the right to fight racism,
the end of scapegoat of Aborigines, Muslims and migrants." In a
statement, he also listed "the right to oppose Australia's involvement
in Iraq" as one he would fight for.
US Holocaust Commission And Holocaust Denial The US recently successfully put a Resolution to UN General Assembly rightly condemning Holocaust Denial. However the Resolution ignored huge non-Jewish Holocausts e.g. the US-driven Iraqi Holocaust and thus was Holocaust Ignoring, something even worse than Holocaust Denial because it is Passive Holocaust Denial that admits of no refutation – who does one refute something that has not even been asserted?
Five minutes to midnight: Climate change one reason the Bulletin moved Doomsday Clock hands The prospect of civilian nuclear power development in countries around the world raises further concerns about the availability of nuclear materials. Growth in nuclear power is anticipated to be especially high in Asia, where Japan is planning to bring on line five new plants by 2010 and China intends to build 30 nuclear reactors by 2020. Over the next five years, some two-dozen nuclear power plants are scheduled to be refurbished or rebuilt worldwide, and countries as diverse as Nigeria, Poland and Vietnam have expressed interest in nuclear energy. In November 2006, the IAEA announced that four Middle Eastern nations — Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Saudi Arabia — had declared their intentions to embark on nuclear energy programs.
Tawakkal – Depending On Allah IF we can learn to depend on Allah with due reliance, He will certainly give us provisions as He gives to the birds who leave their nests in the mornings and return with full bellies at dusk. But what do we need in order to achieve this? We must have firm belief that only Allah can help and benefit us.
US makes grab to control Iraqi oil: New "hydrocarbon" law rushed through to give US oil companies control of Iraq's oil production After listening to the monotonous and incredible US lies for four years about, "We are not there for Iraq's oil," the oil truth is now unfolding. Without a decisive military victory, the US occupation of Iraq seems to be about to grab its oil prize by establishing a new sharing arrangement between a major national producer and the multi-national giants, an arrangement that Washington plans to set as the model to be followed both by the oil-rich region and the world at large.

Are You The Terrorist Next Door I was an ordinary American until November 27, 2006 when I became a terrorist or more accurately what I call a “stand-by terrorist.” Perhaps I cannot truly own this newfound nickname until the government decides to prosecute me for word crimes, if that day ever arrives. Until then, I just think of myself as being on stand-by, just as are most--if not all--Americans, whether they realize it or not.
Rabbi calls for annihilation of Arabs The spiritual leader of Israel's ultra-orthodox Shas party, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, has provoked outrage with a sermon calling for the annihilation of Arabs. "It is forbidden to be merciful to them. You must send missiles to them and annihilate them. They are evil and damnable," he was quoted as saying in a sermon delivered on Monday to mark the Jewish festival of Passover.
Who runs Germany? The intersection of politics and business interests The fusion of business and political interests in Germany has been considerably expanded in recent years through a worked-out system of lobbying, which provides big business direct access to the centers of political power. The number of such lobbyists has literally exploded within the past few years. According to broadcaster Joachim Wagner, writing in Die Zeit in 2003, these lobbyists have more influence “than ever before in the history of the Federal Republic.” Virtually all of Germany’s 30 biggest companies represented on the German share index DAX have lobbying offices in Berlin.
A positive agenda for media reform in the USA The perfect storm has arrived. It was in evidence with the explosive atmosphere of the 2007 National Conference for Media Reform (NCMR) that took place in Memphis, Tennessee from January 12 to 14. Media activists, educators, journalists, policymakers and concerned citizens from many countries--and nearly every state in the US--attended the conference, which aimed to move media issues to the forefront of public discourse in the United States.

The nation that expanded its economy eightfold in 20 years is seeking to end its reliance on France, Russia and the U.S. to launch its satellites. The government also hopes to encourage homegrown technologies, such as robotics and telecommunications, to grab a slice of the $180 billion spent worldwide each year on space- linked research and manufacturing.

Moreover, Zionist troops raided the West Bank towns of Jenin and Tulkarm and abducted three youths under the pretext of throwing stones at Israeli forces. This is while Zionist troops raided Jenin in the West Bank and abducted several Palestinian combatants.
Putin vows
'effective' response to U.S. missile plans Russian
President Vladimir Putin today vowed Russia will come up with a
"highly effective" response to U.S. plans to set up an anti-missile
defense system in Europe. Russia already has a missile, the Topol-M,
that can penetrate the planned U.S. missile shield, but Putin said
Russia is also developing a "completely new system of strategic
weapons." Russia has strongly criticized the planned
antimissile-defense system, which the U.S. says will guard against
attacks from Iran and North Korea. Meanwhile in Kyiv, Ukraine's
defense minister said today that the United States would not be
allowed to deploy a missile-defense system in Ukraine. Anatoliy
Grytsenko said Ukrainian officials had not spoken with U.S. officials
about such a deployment. On January 29, the deputy director of the
U.S. Missile Defense Agency said the United States had held meetings
with Ukraine on its possible involvement with a U.S. missile-defense
system in Eastern Europe. Last month, Czech Prime Minister Mirek
Topolanek said Washington had officially asked Prague to start
negotiations on hosting a radar tracking system that would be part of
the missile-defense system U.S. officials have also been negotiating
with Poland.
Gas
producers' OPEC 'interesting idea': Putin
Russian President
Vladimir Putin said Thursday that forming a natural gas equivalent of
the oil cartel OPEC with Iran and possibly other producers was "an
interesting idea." "A gas OPEC is an interesting idea. We're going to
think about it," Putin said. "We already try to coordinate our
activities on the markets of these countries. We don't want to create
some kind of cartel but it would be right to coordinate our
activities, bearing in mind the decision of the main problem -- secure
and reliable supply of energy resources to the main consumers."
Blair
quizzed for second time over cash-for-honours probe
British Prime
Minister Tony Blair has been questioned by police for a second time
over a "cash-for-honours" probe clouding his final months in office,
his Downing Street office said Thursday. The revelation came two days
after a key aide to the British leader was re-arrested on suspicion of
a cover-up over the alleged illicit funding of his governing Labour
Party. Blair, who became the first serving British premier to be
questioned by police in December, was interviewed again last Friday
Scouring Scum and Tar from the Bottom of the Pit Faced with the undeniable reality of “Hubbard’s Peak” in global conventional oil supplies, the world’s largest multinational energy corporations are now hell-bent on squeezing oil out of tar in northern Alberta, like junkies desperately conniving for one last giant fix in a futile attempt to quench America’s insatiable “addiction to oil” (described so eloquently by President George Bush II). Along the Athabasca River near Fort McMurray, a sub-arctic town almost 1,000 kilometres north of the U.S. border, tar literally seeps out of the riverbanks where Aboriginal peoples once used it to patch their birch-bark canoes.

American Christian kafir terrorists occupation military troops in Iraq, Afghan wars lack equipment: poll A lack of armored vehicles, weapons and other equipment is hampering missions of American Christian kafir terrorists occupation military troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Pentagon's watchdog agency said in a survey. Equipment shortages have been a near-constant issue since the American Christian kafir terrorists-led invasions of Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003,with some soldiers using improvised armor to protect vehicles from rocket-propelled grenades and high-velocity rounds. "Service members were not always equipped to effectively complete their missions," said a summary of the survey, based on interviews last year with some 1,100 troops by the Department of Defense's inspector-general.

Amir Abdullah- “We wish to be sure, that you have not forgotten us” In the appeal of commander Abdullah is told: "We always were, is and we shall be on the side of Chechen people, which is suffering under oppression of Russian invaders. During this struggle many of us, as well as among our Chechen brothers, became Shaheeds (Insha'Allah). More recently Amir Abu Hafs was lost, and now he receives destiny at his Lord. However, despite of heavy losses, despite of the spilled blood and the suffered victims, our peoples continue this sacred struggle.
Somalia’ Mujahideen- "They Understand Only Bullets" In an Iraqi style video postings, a Somali resistance group calling it self the "the peoples resistance" warned the occupiers of further bloodshed and war, and urged Somalians to unite, they have also welcomed an effort for a new government that is not influenced by any outside countries, they also warned the newly appointed Mogadishu administration to terminate their co-operation with the puppet government.
Informative.. listen to it The History of Western Complicity in Iraq, From Churchill to Kennedy to George W. Bush" Well, it was formed out of the collapsing Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I. The British and the French went in to kind of divide up much of the Ottoman Empire. And the British took essentially what is Iraq today. It was three provinces of the Ottoman Empire, and they put them together around 1920, ’21, into one country, which became known as Iraq. These were peoples who had lived under the Ottoman Empire, but they had never been put together into one state, sort of living side-by-side politically and administratively. And it was a recipe for disaster. The British were warned about it at the time, but the reason they wanted to put these people -- the Shiites, the Sunnis, and particularly the Kurds -- in one place is the British wanted the petroleum, particularly the petroleum that the Kurds had. Kurdistan is a major petroleum area. They suspected -- they weren't pumping petroleum at the time, but they knew that it was there, and the British wanted that. And they also wanted bases, too, in that part of the world, to protect their Persia, which was an important part of the British Empire, and India. So bases there became very important for them, too. So you had two things: petroleum and military bases, which are basically exactly the same motives, I think, that are keeping the United States in that part of the world today.
One million people embraced Islam in the past decade An official of Al Azhar University in Egypt said, despite the west’s negative propaganda against Islam, the wave of Islamism in the world has strongly increased in the past 10 years, in a way that more than a million people in the west have embraced Islam in this period of time. Head of Egypt’s Al Azhar University Sheikh Mohammad Tantawi announced that each year a large number of non- Muslims with different nationalities come to the university‘s Islamic committee and officially declare their conversion to Islam. He added, this year around 731 people from 84 countries including the US have come to this committee to convert to Islam. This shows the failure of the west’s propaganda against Islam. These individuals with full satisfaction and familiarity with the Holy Quran and Islam’s teachings, become Muslims and in some cases their acquaintance with Islam’s teachings is only through studying Islamic books without having had any contact with Muslims. Based on Egypt based Al Azhar University’s statistics, 1.2 million people have embraced Islam in the past 10 years the majority of whom are Europeans and Americans, and Latin American, East Asian and African countries come next. After the 9/11 events and following the west’s negative propaganda against Islam, tendency toward this religion fell, but after that, especially in the past 3 years, the wave of Islamism has shown a considerable growth.
UN Warns about Outbreak of Water War in Middle East United Nations experts by announcing that the per capita production of water in the Middle East will decrease to half by the year 2025 warned about the possible outbreak of political conflicts and military confrontations as a result of a water crisis in the region. Walid Saleh the regional UN Coordinator for Middle East and North African affairs referred to scarcity of water resources as one of the permanent and problematic issues in the region and warned about the possible outbreak of political conflicts and military confrontations as a result of a water crisis in the region. He said the Middle East and North Africa is the driest region in the world, a region that has 5% of the world's population but only 1% of the world's water resources. Saleh said the per capita production of water in the region is 1200 cubic meters a day and this is while the world per capita production of water is around 7 thousand cubic meters a year. Saleh said the lack of water in the region is the major cause for the region's underdevelopment adding that as a result of this issue there is no sufficient capacity for a considerable growth of the agriculture and industries in the region. He said that leaving aside Iraq, which is watered by the two great rivers, the Tigris and the Euphrates, Iran has more water than other regional countries adding that the per capita production of water in Iran is 1800 cubic meters a year. Yemen, Jordan and Palestine with less than 200 cubic meters of per capita production are the driest countries in the region.
World Population on the Rise According to the United Nations, the world population has officially reached 6.5 billion on Monday. In fact, 365,000 infants are born worldwide in every 24 hours and 115,000 people die during the same period. In total, the world population rises by 210,000 per day. Although this is an astounding figure, the world population growth rate is slower than predicted. This is due to an aging population and an intense drop in the international birthrate. The world population is expected to rise to seven billion by the year 2012.
More crimes in Scotland than any other part of the world The world health organization announced recently that the rate of crime in Scotland is more than other developed countries of the world. Studies conducted by the WHO show that the Scottish are 3 times more in danger of being murdered than the English and the residents of Wales. According to WHO, the rate of murder in Scotland is 2.33 in every 1000 people, this is while this percentage is only 0.07 % in England and Wales. The crime rates in other European countries are, Spain 1.02%, Italy 0.96%, France 0.85% and Germany 0.65%. Violence in these countries is much less than the other 21 European countries. According to a UN report, more than 2 thousand people are attacked each week in Scotland and this country is among the most violent developed regions in the world. The research also concludes that the Scots are 3 times more at risk than Americans of being the subject of violence. This is while Scottish police and political forces do not verify these statistics.
Only 50% of violent crimes in
the US are reported to police The US government
recently reported of the reduction of the crime rate in that country
while it is said that only 50 % of crimes that take place in the
country are reported to the police and US officials. The Us statistics
office presenting a list of 5.2 million crimes including rape, robbery
or attack on citizens, and around 19 million robberies, announced that
the rate of violent crimes between 1993 and 2004 has decreased.
However, this report points out that only 50 % of violent crimes and
39 % of robberies have been reported to police in 2004. It is said
that only 36% of rapes and 45% of normal attacks on civilians have
been reported to police, and the number of car robberies reported to
police has been the highest case of crimes reported to police.
China, the aspiring scientific superpower "The center of gravity of innovation has started moving from the West to the East," the newly released report by the London-based Demos, "The Atlas of Ideas: Mapping the New Geography of Science", says. It goes on to warn that the pre-eminence of the United States and Europe in scientific innovation can no longer be taken for granted. The Demos report is not the first to pinpoint China's efforts at reviving its scientific capabilities. A recent study by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) claimed that in 2006 China had overtaken Japan as the world's third-largest spender on research and development (R&D) after the United States and the European Union, spending a total of US$136 billion.
Why Were Government Propaganda Experts Working On News At CNN? What makes the CNN story especially troubling is the fact that the network allowed the Army's covert propagandists to work in its headquarters, where they learned the ins and outs of CNN's operations. Even if the PSYOPS officers working in the newsroom did not influence news reporting, did the network allow the military to conduct an intelligence-gathering mission against CNN itself? For instance, one PSYOPS officer worked in CNN's satellite division. According to Intelligence Newsletter, rear admiral Thomas Steffens, a psychological warfare expert in the Special Operations Command, recently told a PSYOPS conference that the military needed to find ways to "gain control" over commercial news satellites to help bring down an "informational cone of silence" over regions where special operations were taking place.
India sets sights on cruise missile market Long considered among the top importing nations for defense hardware, India is now looking to access the fast-growing international market for cruise missiles, considered a lethally efficient weapon. US forces used almost 1,000 such missiles when they first entered Iraq in 2003, and the total worldwide market is expected to be more than US$10 billion in the next decade. An inventory of more than 80,000 such missiles is estimated already to exist around the world.
Support the troops or support the war? In Afghanistan, it might be difficult to do both Gagetown, New Brunswick- When some 2,500 people braved snow and ice to form a massive Canadian flag at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown as a part of an emotional farewell to soldiers departing for Afghanistan, it seemed like patriotism at its best. There was only one problem: many attendees were forced to participate in the rally.

Bolivia's Morales: 'This little Indian won't be leaving office' This strong support is in large part due to the progress made on one of Morales's key election promises -- the nationalisation of hydrocarbons. Having overthrown two presidents in their struggle to regain control over their natural resources, particularly gas, over 90% of Bolivians approved when Morales sent the military into the gas fields on May 1 to return control of hydrocarbons to the state. Six months later after intense negotiations, which resulted in the resignation of hardline pro- nationalisation hydrocarbons minister Andres Soliz Rada and a war of words between the Bolivian government and Brazil's state oil company Petrobras, 44 new contracts were signed. The new rules meant that the state gained control over hydrocarbons, from below the ground through to the end of the industrialisation phase, and the corporations were to become service providers. The state would receive 82% of the revenue, which the corporations previously took for themselves.
HRW- US should cut off cluster-bomb sales to Israel Preliminary US government findings that Israel violated agreements with the United States by its use of cluster munitions in Lebanon last summer should lead to an immediate cutoff of all US cluster munitions sales to Israel, Human Rights Watch said today. The Bush administration is expected to report to Congress today on a State Department investigation into the use of US-made cluster munitions by Israel. Demining groups estimate that Israel used cluster munitions containing some 2.6 to 4 million submunitions in Lebanon, the majority of which were produced in the United States. Israel's use of cluster munitions was the most extensive anywhere in the world since the 1991 Gulf War.
Peter MacKay in Israel and Palestine: What Canada's Foreign Minister did not see or discuss during his visit When Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay visited Israel this week, it was these "little things" that he missed--like the more than 530 fixed checkpoints and roadblocks identified in a joint UN-IDF count in the occupied West Bank. These obstacles make simple travel between neighbouring Palestinian villages often impossible, particularly when added to the more than 7,000 "flying checkpoints" that spring up at the whim of the Israeli army, anywhere and at anytime. As the Economist pointed out, "arbitrariness is one of the most crippling features of these rules."
Iran, Israel, The Big Lie and The Real Threat The major rationale for Israel’s existence is the holocaust, the rabid persecution of European Jews by the Nazis in world war two. Perpetuation of the memory of this dreadful history has become the most powerful religious movement in the modern world, accorded the status of theocratic faith, not to be questioned by any, and to be ritually worshipped by all. This has led to intellectual pogroms in Europe where those who dare to question any parts of the holocaust story are charged with heresy and imprisoned. Revenge is not only visited on the Palestinian people, who had nothing to do with any part of it, but on Europeans who audaciously use supposed democratic liberties in order to freely question history.
Confronting the Climate Change Crisis
This
month, we’ve been treated to the bizarre spectacle of George Bush and
Stephen Harper each declaring their deep concern about "the serious
challenge of global climate change." The U.S. president and Canada’s
prime minister, both long-time opponents of any action to limit
greenhouse gases, now want us to believe that saving the environment
has become a top priority of their governments. Truly, the hypocrisy
of capitalist politicians knows no bounds!
SARAH OLSON, THE PENTAGON, AND THE FIRST AMENDMENT "Doesn’t it fly in the face of the First Amendment to compel a journalist to participate in a government prosecution against a source, particularly in matters related to personal political speech? It is my job as a professional journalist to report the news, not to act as the eyes and ears of the government. I am repelled by this approach that jeopardizes my credibility and seeks to compel my participation in muting public speech and dissenting personal opinion. Further, it is stunningly ironic that the Army seeks my testimony – the testimony of a journalist – in a case against free speech itself. What could be more hostile to the idea of a free press than a journalist participating in the suppression of newsworthy speech?"
Investigators: Millions in
Iraq Aid Wasted Investigators say that the U.S.
government wasted tens of millions of dollars in Iraq reconstruction
aid, including scores of unaccounted-for weapons and a never-used camp
for housing police trainers with an Olympic-size swimming pool. The
quarterly audit by Stuart Bowen Jr., the special inspector general for
Iraq reconstruction, is the latest to paint a grim picture of waste,
fraud and frustration in an Iraq war and reconstruction effort that
has cost taxpayers more than $300 billion. The audit comes as
President Bush is pressing Congress to approve $1.2 billion in new
reconstruction aid as part of his broader plan to what he calls
stabilize Iraq by sending 21,500 more U.S. troops to Baghdad and Anbar
province.
Russia Criticizes US Sanctions against Russia’s Arms Companies The Russian government condemned the US sanctions on Russian arms companies as illegal. Secretary of the Russian National Security Council Igor Ivanov speaking at a press conference said that Russia’s arms exports are only for defensive purposes, adding, these weapons do not pose any threat to neighbors and will not lead to the instability of the region. Ivanov added: If the measures by Russian companies violate specific laws inside the United States Washington has no right to impose sanctions on Russian firms. Early last month the United States imposed new sanctions on three Russian arms-exporting companies for selling anti-aircraft missile system to Iran.
Germany issues warrants
against 13 for CIA backed kidnapping Germany has
issued arrest warrants for 13 people over the alleged-CIA backed
kidnapping of a German citizen, officials and local media say. Munich
prosecutors said that the warrants were linked to the case of Khaled
al-Masri, a German national of Lebanese descent. Mr Masri says he was
seized in 2003 in Macedonia, flown to a secret prison in Afghanistan
and mistreated there. He has been trying to file a lawsuit against the
CIA over his claims.
Europe kicks off
debate on smoking ban The European Union launched a
debate that could lead to a EU-wide ban on smoking in public places,
following similar bans already imposed by several European countries.
EU Health Commission Markos Kyprianou unveiled a discussion paper
favorable to calls for a ban on smoking in work places including
restaurants and bars. After a debate involving national authorities,
industry and consumer groups, the EU's executive is expected to
propose EU-wide legislation next year. "Smoke-free policies are very
popular with European citizens, not only among smokers but also among
non-smokers," said Kyprianou himself a former smoker. "Every European
deserves full protection from tobacco smoke." All 27 EU nations have
rules limiting smoking in public places, but they vary from country to
country.
Japan terms China's satellite
test as illegal Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe
voiced concern Wednesday about China's satellite-destroying test,
charging that Beijing had violated international law. "I believe it
would not be in compliance with basic international rules such as the
Outer Space Treaty," Abe said in parliament of the Chinese test. Asked
if an attack on a Japanese satellite would be an act of war, Abe said:
"The international community should be concerned about any destruction
of another country's satellite in a way that does not comply with
international laws."

Rebuilding and reconciliation Led by the US, countries plan to pour millions of dollars into Afghanistan's Helmand province, where the Taliban have a strong foothold, to rebuild both society and shattered infrastructure. The biggest problems are bridging the gulf between foreign aid missions and the local people, and keeping the Taliban's influence at bay.

Now That’s What I Call Chutzpah So spare me the typical ‘Oh, here we go again, another anti-Semitic rant’… After all, how many times have the rest of us heard it, and heard it in a celebratory manner? How many times has it been used to describe someone in the most laudatory terms? ‘Oh, the chutzpah of the guy, you gotta love ‘im!’ Yes, that’s right, an asset…While others–Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus and the rest of humanity–aspire to attain (and hopefully perfect) the qualities of humility, righteousness and compassion, there is a group of folks out there who aspire to attain (and hopefully perfect) the ‘qualities’ of bold, rude and disrespectful… …and they wonder why they have been the most unpopular kids on the playground lo these last 2,000 years…
israel destroys Earth, claims self-defense For years, Alan Dershowitz has continued to challenge the limits of absurdity. But, this time, he has truly stepped beyond all bounds. According to Alan, the Jewish people - or more accurately, the Zionuts in israel and around the world - cannot and will not tolerate a world in which they do not reign supreme. Of course, Dr. D has everything under control. He is currently preparing a legal brief that Zionuts will present on Judgment Day, after they have destroyed the planet, to justify their use of deadly pre-emptive force against all the former inhabitants, I mean terrorists, on earth - civilian shields included - who refused to meekly submit to their reign of terror. Naturally, God will put it to good use - in fueling the flames of Hellfire for their wretched little souls.

India's boundless ambitions The United
States will attend the Aero India defence show next month, hoping to
profit from India's hunger for military equipment; it wants to make
India a counterweight to China. The relationship between China, India
and the US is ill-defined; in a region that bristles with weapons,
India also will have to contend with Japan and Russia.
The policy of Russia- First - a robbery, then - blackmail The essence of Russian imperialism is rather many-sided. One of its displays is the policy of economic expansion and blackmail in relation to former colonies of Russia which is combined with the impudent open robbery of the oppressed peoples. It is clearly visible on an example of Ukrainian-Russian attitudes in the field of energetics, which from the first days of declaration of independence of Ukraine are accompanied by economic blackmail. Oil and gas which Russia subdued from the real owners of these resources, - native people of the occupied territories of empire, on whose ground their extraction is carried out, this became the powerful lever of influence on the Ukrainian authority that allows Russia to dictate the conditions, both in economic, and in political sphere.
Fighting the three block war “Retribution.” Canada fights in Afghanistan in retribution for the Canadians killed in New York in the September 11 terrorist attack, Defence Minister Gordon O'Connor explained to a largely military audience in Edmonton this week. The Conservative, a former lobbyist for the defence industry, pointed to the need to punish the Taliban, as 2,200 fresh Canadian troops prepared to depart for the southern part of Afghanistan where the fiercest fighting is taking place. If you think this reasoning behind the mission to Afghanistan is spurious, you would be right. The Taliban did not attack New York; no Afghan group is responsible for 9/11.
Young UK
Muslims back Sharia On Monday a
poll showing large minorities of young Muslims in favour of Islamic
law and inspired by political Islam. One in eight young Muslims
supports al-Qaeda, according to the Populus poll. Munira Mirza, whose
independent Policy Exchange think-tank commissioned the poll, claimed
the results suggested that two decades of British government policy
was to blame for sharpening divisions between Muslims and non-Muslims.
The rift is partly “a result of multi-cultural policies implemented
since the 1980s emphasizing difference at the expense of shared
national identity and divided people along ethnic, religious and
cultural lines,” Mirza said. Since a fierce debate erupted last year
over whether Muslim women should wear the full-face veil, government
ministers have stressed shared values of fairness and democracy.
According to the Internet and phone poll of 1,003 Muslims, 37 per cent
of 16-to-24-year-olds said they would prefer to live under Sharia law
compared to just 17 per cent of the over-55s.
The same number of young Muslims said they would prefer to send their
children to Islamic state schools while 74 per cent said they
preferred Muslim women to wear the Hijab headscarf in public. Among
the over-55s, the figures were 19 per cent and 28 per cent on the same
questions. A small overall minority (seven per cent) said they “admire
organizations like al-Qaeda that are prepared to fight the West”. The
figure was highest among younger people (13 per cent) but just three
per cent among older people. In general, more over-55s felt they had
as much, if not more, in common with non-Muslims in Britain than with
Muslims abroad (71 per cent), but that fell to 62 per cent among
16-to-24-year-olds.
Mirza said: “There is clearly conflict within British Islam between a
moderate majority that accepts the norms of Western democracy and a
growing minority that does not. “Religiosity amongst younger Muslims
is not about following their parents’ cultural traditions but rather
their interest in religion is more politicized.” Mirza said: “The
government should stop emphasizing difference and engage with Muslims
as citizens, not through their religious identity.” Youth workers and
a councilor in east London, which has many Muslims, added that Muslim
community leaders themselves could do more to communicate and involve
young people. They noted that the elder generation of Muslims,
including imams at mosques, tended to shy away from politics, which is
impossible in the age of satellite television and the Internet which
bring home the turmoil in Muslim lands.
Middle East's geopolitics cold war heats up After several months of faint rumblings, a US-led, Middle East-wide alliance of conservative Sunni and secular Muslim states marshaled against Iran is starting to take shape, to the deepening discomfort of the Iranian theocracy. Leading countries in this alliance are Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan. Gary Sick, a US foreign-policy analyst who served on the National Security Council under US presidents Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan, pointed out the rationale behind the alliance: "By removing the Taliban [from Afghanistan], Iran's greatest threat to the east, and then removing the government of Saddam Hussein, its deadly enemy to the west, and finally installing an Iran-friendly Shi'ite government in Baghdad for the first time in history, the US virtually assured that Iran - essentially without raising a finger - would emerge as a power center rivaled only by Israel."
Iraq: The Genocide Option
It was claimed early in
2005 that the United States was considering resort to what has been
called the "Salvadoran Option" in Iraq, in which, as had been done in
El Salvador in the 1980s, U.S. Special Forces would train paramilitary
squads to hunt down and assassinate rebel leaders and their
supporters. [1] A year earlier, it was reported that a sizable fund
had been appropriated for the creation of an exile-based paramilitary
unit for Iraq, and that the money would more broadly "support U.S.
efforts to create a lethal, and revengeful Iraqi security force." It
was expected that this would lead to "a wave of extrajudicial
killings" of armed rebels, but also of "nationalists, other opponents
of the U.S. occupation and thousands of civilian Baathists." [2]
The rise of the death rate in Iraq, and the evidence of large-scale
assassinations and slaughters frequently carried out by uniformed men,
suggests that the Salvadoran option was put in place and that it has
done its work well even if failing to bring victory to the Shiite
leaders and militias and their sponsors.
Agents of Influence Did Ariel Sharon, the Prime Minister of Israel, run a covert program with operatives in high-level US government positions to influence the Bush Administration's decision to go to war in Iraq?...That's the story behind the latest Washington spy scandal, involving Israel, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and a mid-level civilian Pentagon employee allegedly caught red-handed trying to deliver US secrets to the Israelis.
Debris of Superpower Pride Endangers Peace in Space Calculations of the damage done in space by China's anti-satellite missile (ASAT) test of January 11 continue. What needs to be stressed far more is the serious setback the test can spell for terrestrial efforts to assure humanity of an outer space free from weapons and wars.
Class Warfare & the Minimum Wage: Behind the Senate's Attack on American Workers It was hard not to applaud Senator Edward Kennedy last week when he lampooned Senate Republicans for attempting to amend and delay a Senate resolution aimed at modest increases in the federal minimum wage. The corresponding House resolution, which was passed by an overwhelming 315-116, aimed to increase the federal minimum wage from the current $5.15 an hour to $7.25 over the next two years. Senate Republicans, however, realizing the weakness of their minority status in Congress, seized upon an opportunity to try and block any vote on the initiative, citing traditional pro-business, anti-worker dogmas. In general, contempt for American workers seems to be at a high as political and corporate leaders vehemently oppose attempts to peg the minimum wage to keep pace with inflation, as was seen recently in Illinois.
Bush's Health Care Conspiracy I guess he means the private insurance companies that use up 31 percent of every health care dollar for their own CEOs’ salaries, payments to lobbyists, media campaigns and the multiple bureaucratic costs of thousands of insurance companies rather than a single payer such as Medicare. Those same private insurance companies provide no health care to anyone in this country. (Well, maybe they provide health care for their own employees, who number in the tens of thousands.) He must mean those same private insurance companies whose highest-paid CEO (at United Health) gets $122.7 million dollars a year—enough to cover the health care costs of roughly 34,000 American citizens.

Vaccination a tool which the
west is using to kill millions of Muslim babies should be banned draws
a row in Britain A new controversy has surfaced in the
United Kingdom after a top Muslim doctor urged the Muslims not to
vaccinate their children against diseases such as measles, mumps and
rubella because these contained Haram ingredients. A report in the
British media has claimed that in Pakistan, Nigeria, Afghanistan, and
parts of India, Muslims have refused to be immunized against polio
after being told that the vaccines contained products that the West
has deliberately added to make the recipients infertile. Dr Katme, the
head of the Islamic Medical Association, is now telling Muslims that
almost all the vaccines contain products derived from animal and human
tissues, which make them “Haram”. He said Islam permits only the
consumption of Halal products, where the animal is slaughtered in
Islamic manner. Dr Katme has asked Muslims not to vaccinate their
children with vaccines being produced in the West as they do not meet
the Islamic criteria. Katme says some of the vaccines have been made
using pork-based gelatine. Dr Katme said he was bringing the message
to Britain after analyzing the products used for the manufacture of
the vaccines. He claimed that Muslims must allow their children to
develop their own immune system naturally rather than rely on
vaccines.
He argued that leading “healthy lives according to Islam” would be
enough to ward off illnesses and diseases. “You see, God created us
perfect and with a very strong defense system. If you breastfeed your
child for two years — as the Holy Qur’aan says — and you eat Qu’aanic
food like olives and black seed, and you do ablution each time you
pray, then you will have a strong defense system,” he said.
He claimed that many vaccines, especially those administered to
children, are full of Haram substances — human parts, gelatine from
pork, alcohol, animal/monkey parts, all coming from the West, which
doesn’t have the knowledge of Halal or Haram. It is forbidden in Islam
to consume any of these Haram substances, he argued. Dr Katme singled
out vaccines such as MMR as ones to avoid, despite doctors, saying
these are essential to keep a baby healthy. Others included those for
diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis and meningitis.
